I seem to die a lot, i feel like I havent touched on everything in this game yet.

Right now I am a level 10  archetype Soldier.  I feel like im pretty weak, I die a lot, and my health regenerates really slow. Is there at least any self healing powers I can use? I am crafting "arms" under ordnance, im not sure if I should be doing that, Also, is that the same with munitions? Idk im such a noob at this game. Idk shit abt any armor, if i even have. 

and where do i get "power frameworks"

btw i did read the CO guides and everything, I admit im an idiot and dont understand. help would be appretiated. 

 

So basically i want to know what I have to do to get my lvl 10 up to speed, and/or get some healing powers so i dont die during combat.

Avengers are a high damage, low survivability type (similar with marksman and fire).

There are only two who get self heals, the mind and grimoire. For beginning either of the protectors (Ice or Behemoth) or the mind or grimoire seem to be the best survivability.

You can craft consumables to heal yourself but that is not practicle for every fight. As long as you stay Soldier you will probably die sometimes just the way it is. But there is basically no death penalty in this game so it does not matter much.

I'd say also get one of your main attack powers up to Rank 3 as soon as possible - that means saving the advancement point when you get levels with just 1, to use on next level up so you have 2 to spend.  You are an Avenger role, hence damage is your best defence, so get the damage up as high as possible as fast as possible.

That also means picking gear that boosts your superstats (always noted as yellow when you look at gear stats).  Boost the first superstat with gear as soon as it gets superstatted, then boost the other one when it gets superstatted later on (forget the levels at which this happens).  (Not sure but I think it's DEX/EGO for soldier? so basically slot gear that will give the max amount of those, and also pick the talents that maximise those; generally CON as third to think about - i.e., if it's a choice between an item with DEX and INT or DEX and CON, generally pick the latter)

The crafting "schools" enhance different stats, and Arms is usually suitable for munitions characters (the 3 sub-schools within a school are just cosmetic/flavour, identical stat-wise), but that can vary with Freeform builds, which can get interestingly complex. 

But no need to worry about that (or the question of Frameworks) just now, since you're an AT, the automatic progression should be just fine to make you a  high damage but somewhat squishy toon (standard "glass cannon", i.e. high risk/high damage gameplay), provided you a) prioritise boosting superstats with gear and talents (not to neglect the others, but to prioritise the SS when you choose what gear to slot) and 2) ensure you have 1 or 2 main attacks to Rank 3 asap.

Rank 3 is really where it's at for all the powers in CO, but you can only have a few powers at Rank 3, so usually (by the end of the game) that's a couple of attacks, some defence power and maybe a utility or heal, to Rank 3, most others at Rank 2 or 1.  Powers at Rank 2 are "functional", powers at Rank 1 are "meh", but powers at Rank 3 are "OMGWTFLOLBBQ!!!".  Graphics usually change accordingly too, which is nice.

But of course sometimes it's better to have one of the special Advantages rather than Rank 3 on certain powers.  Something to ponder.
