Hey, I'm just waiting for the blasted game to finish install and download.

Any tips for what I should aim for first, character creation etc etc?

About Archetypes, if you are new and want good survivability Glacier or Behemot are nice(tanks but still dps good) or mind for healer. The others are playable but a little glass cannon sometimes so they die a bit often (there is basically no death penalty in this game). Anyway, in the official forums there is a lot of info you can use.

If you have played COH it plays very similar. I agree being a protector is a decent learning class. Keep in mind that the Archtypes of savage and specialist are not playable by freebies though it does not tell you, it will just show charicter creation failed after you spent an hour customizing your looks.

Another tip is when you are choosing powers in the power house you can test them out there on crates and whatnot so you can get a feel if you like them. If not can be reset.

Be paitent with the download, took me three days 90% of the time it was doing nothing.
