I have 3 old characters from when I used to play CO. I got the F2P client today and wanted to create a new Silver character, but I can't seem to be able to. I converted one of my old characters to a silver and I can play it fine. I was wondering, as a silver account do your old free-form characters take up your 2 character slots? Why can I play the one I converted, but not make a new one. I have 2 locked characters and I silver I converted. |

From what I've been reading elsewhere you are correct - you get 2 slots as a Silver player and existing characters count towards the total. Cryptic really messed up there - ex subscribers should have been given 2 extra slots imo - they paid for the game for crying out loud. If I were you I'd just make another free account and leave your gold characters in cold storage should you ever wish to resub. |

I found myself in the same situation, except my previous alt-itus had left me with 8 characters all over level 20. Since I hadn't played the game in over a year, I really wanted to start fresh with a new character and see how things had changed from the beginning. But to find out I had to delete 7 characters for that opportunity? I just logged off, scratching my head at this one. |

Did you consider just creating a second account? |

I might try this, but there is no way I'm deleting my lvl 25 or 40. What if I want to resubscribe someday? |
