Maybe this is a problem with when they switched to F2P or something i did i don't know but when i finally got done downloading installing patching and running the game.  I started making my "hero" to start playing.  Originally i had a gold member hero but i deleted him cause he was only level 5.

Anyway, i created my hero gave him a name clicked the big I'm done button, to start the tutorial. Then i get hit with Character creation failed.  Of course not having saved him as there wasn't any need because my last attempts when i played the game always worked fine.

So i after recovering from the /facepalm due to my 10 mins worth of work on the character being completely undone.  Did it again. I managed to get my hero looking the way i wanted to again in about 5 mins (as i knew what to go for).  Saved the outfit this time around and clicked the I'm done button again.  Got hit with the same message. I have now tried to created this character about 6 times, then reloaded the clinet 3 times, and redo the character twice on each new reload.  Each time resulting back with the character creation failed message.

I looked over the internet some but i get mixed results of you have to wait longer (sigh) keep trying (yeah that doesnt work) and a few others like character name may be taken (not sure this is a problem in champions, but i changed the name a few times, no luck)  or something about extracting files again.

I"m kind of at a lose here.  Has anyone else encounter this problem and know of a fix.  It is F2P so i'm not real upset as i'm not losing anything but time, but i would like to know i'm not just wasting time making the character over and over again if it's futile.

Do not choose "Specialist" or "Savage", you have to purchase them in the C-Store, but Cryptic didn't label/block them in the creation tool, so it fails if you try to make them without paying.

Thanks thats what i was doing that was causing it to fail. I was picking savage.
