Does anyone know when CO goes FTP if you'll simply be able to patch the original client if you have your disc or if you'll have to download an entirely new client (ala Lord of the Rings Online)?

You'll be able to use the client you're downloading now. :-)

Additionally, we've enabled pre-patching, so if you have the trial version now, you'll be able to start downloading the Free for All patch right away, and spend significantly less time on the download come the 25th.

Thanks. Having to redownload the client for LOTRO is why I haven't tried the game now that it has gone F2P. Also the confusion if what I'd have access to if I had previous bought expansions before the change.
