I found co on steam for about 7€

Is it worth buying it?

Are there people on servers or am i going to play alone?

It's completely worth it if your into Comic/superhero genre. If not there are other way better mmo's to spend a sub on.

The content may be sub-par, but there is a good amount of it and some of it is worth experiencing.

Ever since SL i have noticed a surge in players where you wont be alone but grouping for content well uhhh.... Since the game is solo heavy its not really necessary to group unless you try and do SL or the nemesis raids.

One thing i have to point out though and that it is very easy to gimp your character if you try to

1)Make your character to concept and miss out on important powers

2)picking the wrong gear stat's

3)Trying to pvp without GTFOHQ travel powers

Unlike other mmo's where your character follows a pre-set path of skills and gear stat boost. In CO you have a free choice to make any hero given the powers at your disposal, the only problem is that some powers are way more effective in there use than others. Just know that if you make the jump it will be a way better experience if you read about power sets first.

I am I think?

I think the game is a LOT of fun.

And I agree with Prototypo that it's possible to make a wimpy feeling hero. Although I don't know that it's easy to make an *unplayable* hero. My suggestion is if you play, to make a hero how you want. If you start feeling like things are getting too tough then it's definitely a good idea to research your choices a little as far as powers and stats.

As Prototypo mentioned the game is very solo friendly. So if you ever feel like things are too hard (that shouldn't be hard) then you need to change something, whether it's your powers, stat/gear choices, or how you're playing. Luckily it's incredibly easy to change your hero at any time with a little bit of in-game currency.

It's fairly easy to find people to group with. It's not required for most of the content, but you can. Even if something is easy I prefer to group up and share the good times with other people, but sometimes solo is just fine as well.

Unfortunately I think, people dont do a lot of grouping until later in the game when a few missions get much harder. Around level 25. I think this gives a bad impression for new people and maybe is just a bad design otherwise. Still you will certainly see a ton of other people and you can join up if you take some initiative. You can also share missions which helps motivate people to team.

If you really like to team all the time, I'd say check out City of Heroes. On the one hand, you are compelled to team most of the time and can enjoy that social aspect. On the other, if you really enjoy the Role Play aspect, Champions makes you feel more heroic. In CoH, you have trouble beating down a common street thug with some powersets.

In teaming fashion, CO works a bit more like Wow than CoX, meaning that most leveling is done soloing while lairs are the usual place to team. This is actually the most common situation in the non grindfest games.

I would say CoX can give you more teaming but its endgame instances are a bit lacking, especially in boss encounters (the roman instance was a good step forward but still need a bit work), but it is a more stable experience over leveling.

CO main advantage is flexibility, meaning you can make a lot of more combinations than CoX, unfortunately people tend to get scare into taking decisions about the hero build, it requires a lot of more thinking and research than CoX which is pretty much straightforward.

The other thing that it is different is the combat pace, CO is pretty fast with barely any cooldown. Tanking and healing are a bit more challenging, but still not difficult enough for non casual gamers.

Anyway, my conclusion is that for $6 bucks is a really good deal to enjoy a month of CO, then you can decide if you want to invest more on it or just to move on to another game.

Money in politics is the root of all political evil. It is corruption at it's worst.

It is worth buying if you play it intensely for the first free month, like a single player game. After that you should cancel because the game has zero longetivity, as an MMORPG.

It is basically like a single player game but with monthly fee and RMT shop. So if you can avoid the latter two then it is an OK game.

Maybe, it depends on you. If you are a huge superhero fan you should try it out, but I am pretty sure it has an free trial by now so try it first.

It's most definitely worth it if you like superheroes and you want to realize characters from your imagination and play them.  That's its strong suite - character customization and a flexible build system with fast, fun combat.  It's an altoholic's Nirvana.

If you want your MMO to be a second job, then CO is not that, it's not got that degree of depth, and likely never will.

Teaming was crap at launch, but it has improved quite a bit, and will probably improve more - that's something to bear in mind if you love teaming.  It's not as good a teaming superhero MMO as CoX - yet.  But it has the potential to be, and is moving in that direction.

It depends how they structure the F2P. If they make you pay for everything like Lotro does then in the end you'l be paying more if you would have subscribed for a year. We'll see.

It's worth a try (as I did just a few days ago) if you like checking out MMOs. This one is okay so far. I like the mix and match of the powersets, but you have to mix and match wisely. Their forums have some outstanding guides but they also reveal a level of complexity I may be uncomfortable with. Mainly, you have to research what is known about powers so you don't follow someone's great, but incomprehensible cookie cutter guide blindly. Essentially, you'd like to know why those particular powers were picked.

It's a dream for people who like to research the forums and skills in game. On the flip side, you can always do what  they call a respec or retcon (whatever), and, the game is somewhat forgiving as well.

So far it's been an interesting few days.

I enjoy the game. i can always find a team no matter what time i am on. Also i like to make my own character which is what you can do with powersets as well as looks. but i would still try the free trial and see if you like it.

CO is not worth buying at any price and that includes free. Do yourselves a favor and preorder DCU.

Playing: Diablo 3, Tribes Ascend, Skyrim

Disappointed by open beta feedback: GW2
Waiting for: TSW

Let's be honest, the only people who are bothered by DRM are pirates. Companies have a right to protect their IP.
