When I get to the first screen that says adjust black/white shading to Clearly Visible, it immediately turns baby blue on me and freezes up. I can't tab out, I can move around on the screen and my mouse turns back to white normal windows mouse and I accidentally started up a movie I had paused but it freezes every time now for 3 days.

After you login on the launcher go to the options on the launcher and try launching the game in windowed mode. If you can get in after adjusting the brightness it might work in full screen after that.

Other than that I would suggest getting the latest directx from microsoft. If you have an old G15 keyboard like me you might try putting -noLCD in the options command line on the launcher.
