Continuing to create social awareness and charitable giving in its players, Hello Kitty Online developer, Sanrio, is giving players the opportunity to trade items collected in game that will translate to real world donations to Toys for Tots. The promotion lasts from now through December 8th.

Sanrio Partners with Komen Foundation
Hello Kitty Online players have the ongoing opportunity to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation by purchasing pink ribbon t-shirts and wands. Publisher Sanrio has announced that 100% of all sales of these in-game items will be donated to the Komen Foundation for breast cancer research and awareness. The items will be permanently available effective immediately.

Chocolate Harbor Rescue to Aid Charity
Hello Kitty Online players will have the chance to help clean up the Gulf of Mexico after this past summer's horrific oil spill and to help kids in impoverished nations affected by the spill. By simply playing "Chocolate Harbor Rescue" in game, players can generate "donation points" which will be turned into cash donations to Oceana, an organization for ocean conservation, and UNICEF, a children's charitable organization sponsored by the United Nations.

Hello Kitty Hits Retail Shelves in NA
Hello Kitty Online retail boxes have now hit the shelves at Amazon.com, Best Buy and Target across North America. Branded game cards can also be purchased at the same retail locations. Players who purchase the retail edition of the game will be treated to several bonuses as well.

Microtransactions Via PlaySpan
Hello Kitty Online players will be able to fund their in-game store purchases through PlaySpan. Publisher Sanrio has inked a deal with PlaySpan to power purchases when Hello Kitty Online goes into retail release. Hello Kitty Online is currently in closed beta testing but is set to enter open beta soon.

Music Trailer
This music trailer for Hello Kitty Online features the debut of a new theme song, "The World is Saying Hello" by The Sanrio Digital Frequency featuring Chantal, with music by Greg Chun and lyrics by Jason Mayland. Also shown in the trailer are the different maps of the Sunbright Express train station, the game's farming system, house building & customization, multiplayer Flash-based minigames, as well as avatar customization and items.
