A game for adults. I'm so sick of 12 year olds on WoW!!!! There aren't going to be any on this game! No sir! Just pure adult fun. It's about time.

^Joke.

Actual topic------> Will there be 18+ mature adult guilds in Hello Kitty? (ofcourse there will be.) Ofcourse, can you actually call them "mature" guilds?

It seems to me it would be a little immature to create an adult guild in Hello Kitty.

Argh

there were plenty of 20+ and over during the close-beta. i'd expect there will be a substantial amount of the above mentioned age group playing HKO once the game is up and running.

I really dont think kids will play this game. I will be adults pretending to be kids or adults pretending to be kids pretending to be adults. And people who stoped playing AOC and need a more mature game.

Hello Kitty is definitely for adult girls, sure young girls like it too, but the brand is going for a much older audience, like the below!

Looks like it's time for me to reach out and play something new, HELLO KITTY. Butters told me to play it. I might try it.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I got the exact same message, we're all in "wait and hold mode"

While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, one should bear in mind that just because its pink and cute does not mean it is a kids product.

Infact, what was the surprise audience in Toontown? Adults, even more interestingly people used to say bubble pop and other casual games on real arcade where for little kids too, and who played those? Adult women!

The Founders Beta we got into does not start until October 8th.  That's exactly two weeks from today.  Oh woe is me!  That is ages from now!   I don't want to wait!     LOL

Hmmm I was one of the mmorpg.com contest winners for a closed beta slot in Stargate Worlds too.  Woohoo! I'll be keeping busy!

You have a poor grasp of culture and cultural differences dear. The game was made actually for middle aged office working professional women in Japan. It is very popular style of MMO among adult women in Asia. Definitely NOT designed for kids originally.

Sadly in the US and Europe, people have been sold a lie that animation, cute art styles and anime is for kids only. In Asia where it all started anime and this sort of game are for everyone...more often for adults than kids actually.

I totally agree with you, HKO and that style of anime (cute) is not for kids, it's for adults, not just in japan but for all of asia, and increasingly more so in us too.

Yeah I'm going to give beta a try. I actually think the playerbase may be more "mature" because the people playing likely won't be as obsessed with phat lewts and being l33t. I'm hoping for a more social, laid back playerbase, something it seems we lost around the time WoW came out. :)

I got to say one thing, some of the players on HKO are surprisingly hardcore, I've been playing a bit and it's really nice and fun but some of these guys are like super-players.

The nice thing is that even though you're hardcore, the competitive element is nothing like in other mmo's, I like that.

Worse game ever. Seriously. I played all through Founders Beta.  Definatly has alot of appeal.

The major Flaws? The GM's. They are so easy to manipulate and I saw Guilds with GM's in the guild. Players getting advanced warnings about Events so they could prepare and "Special" treatment all around. I'm unsure if this will carry on into the actual game, or into Open Beta. But it sure seemed very unprofessional of me.

Plus add to that the hordes of 10-17 year olds crying, whinning and complaining about everything then asking the same question 100+ times.

A game can have a great feel to it, as far as gameplay and graphics, but when GM's go out of their way to appease other players because they are from another country and want the USA players to like them, is when it becomes a problem.

This game was supposed to be marketed towards Western Culture, yet all the events and special games happened between 2am-5am on Sundays and weekdays. That was horrid.

Most of the good looking clothing consisted of lower level items. Alot of the higher level items 30+ looked like 1970's Business leasure suits. Horrible design for a game that is supposed to be cute and appealing.

The travel system was horrible. You had to walk 15 minutes from one town to another for a quest. There was no teleporting, traveling or faster way. And when alot of people were online, it made the portals impossible to get through.

The farm system was expensive and annoying. The amount of times you had to "Fertilize" something was ungodly to much. The fact that plants grew so erratically made it difficult to harvest as well.

When building finally did come out, it took 5 people 3 hours to build 1 house. And tons of energy = tons of food consumption which = tons of money spent and tons of time cooking.

The company and GM's poorly handled all events and player issues. There wasn't a set TOS that GM's followed and even fairness seemed to fly out the window if the GM's liked the player in question or were "buddy buddy" with them.

If I had to rate this game from 1-10 I'd probably give it a 2. Just because it's all cute and sparkly. But other then that, worst game ever.

Don't waste your time on this one. Just because it's the famous "Hello Kitty" icon, dosn't mean it's a good game, and in this case, it's a nightmare.
