I used to be a Neocron gamer, (101st then Phoenix Mercs for those who care) and i'm really intrugued by ER... However how the hell are they charging $49.99 OR €49.99 - what sort of exchange rate is that! lol... i know you can get the boxed version for £27 from a reputable retailer.

Anyways has anyone currently got an account i can try it on... I'd really appreciate it as ive just lost my job so cant afford to shell out for (another) game i wont be playing :(

I also understand the pain that the lag is causing will hinder gameplay, however, i feel i'll be able to see through that as i lived with Neocrons poor performance for 2 years! hehe

And i even hovered over this thread to tell you 'wait', but i figured you were going to any who. Look, i am a fan of ER, and my advice is wait another month or two. ER is a great game, but it has its fair share of issues. Performance has improved since release, but it just needs that extra month or two before i would personally recommend it to anyone else. The next client patch is due for March 11th, im sure ill be here to let peeps know how it goes. 

TBH the lag for the past week has been fantastic.  The client still runs like garbage but I haven't been experiencing any issues with lag, desyncs, or the DMZ bug for quite some time now.

Still wouldn't recommend the game but the progress they've made on server stability and lag is kind of amazing.

Its been great for the last week because no one is playing any more. :p

Pretty much the same as the others, despite being a fan of this game You should have held off for a month or two before taking the plunge. Due to performance issues and a lack of content I just couldn't recommend ER right now.

Stop impulse buying people, read through the official forums please. It might sound tedious but remember there are no refunds.

I am afraid that this game will most likely end up like MO. Even games of much bigger developers like: Age of Conan or Warhammer have never risen up again after the launch failers.
