Earthrise is out and i want to try it out without having to pay for it.... Does a Trial exist???

There's no trial, wait for the price to drop.

I havn't played release yet, but just by looking around here you can see it's pretty much unplayable atm.

and the people who say they are all haters, i actually have found teh brutal honesty is actually pretty brutally true!

The game just came less than a month ago. Probably gonna have to wait a while for a trial.

Fail? I take it you kids are new to MMO's. MMO's generally tend to wait at least 4-6 months before offering up a trial of their Work In Progress. 

A trial is supposed to reel players in but if they opened it now its more likely to turn them away. Everyone that plays the trial screams fail all over the forums and then ER has no chance to bring anyone in now that they all think its bad and always will be.

But sure, go ahead and say that no trial = fail.

4-6 months? this should have had rave reviews straight after an open beta, then trials setup, not sure which mmo you have been playing (brainwashed by this one?) but every game worth its weight comes with a 7 day trial, friend subbies, promo codes etc

no trial means fail ! and generally screams of a game released far too early and a desperate clutch at funds from the dying subscribers.

no trial will also mean this will be f2p in a flash, and probably end up with a nice lil online micro payments store for the hardcore to clutch at tiny uber valuable items for their end game equipment set

not new to MMO see them come and go all the time, time will tell

shame from what i have read they didnt go more planetside with this game

Game will fold in 6 months mate, not sure what planet you are on or what game you are p-laying but Earthrise is about as fail as it gets.

like it or leave it, its true.  Most games starting out don't offer a free trial.  First you allow the initial waves of ppl to enter the game.  You tweak, and refine it based on the influx of feedback, then once its some of the roughness has been smoothed away, you offer the free trial.

It has nothing to do with 'hiding' the quality (unless they never offer a free trial, then I would wonder) of the game, its just good business sense.  Yes, thats right, its a BIZ'NEZ

seriously though...no game has a trial right after launch...to think otherwise is ridiculous. give it 6months and youll have a trial....just like every other game.

possibly by then it will be in a more acceptable state.

Offical giving their opinion on Earthrise trial.

Players should be able to try a game before buying it. But MMOs are still stuck on the we are not offering trials before 6 months+ after release. Usually it's because they are all unplayable and not very enjoyable. A game which has nothing to hide can only gain more from trials/demos.

Dragon Age 2 came out yesterday and it has a demo to check it out. All games should do this.

Have a read around about this game - it is in a terrible state at the moment.

Wait 6 months to a year and then the game might actually be called a game and there just might be a free trial.

Thanks for that. I was thinking about buying this game and now I know that I need to wait for a trial. 50EUR is a lot of money :/

Dont bother..not worth the time wasted and bandwith used, its on pair with Mortal Online kind of horrible game imo.

Actually worth both the time and bandwith if you ask me. Haven´t played a MMO that has such a multilayered PVP like ER does. So if your into PVP, you should DEFINETLY check ER out. And don´t worry bout the grind. We had a guy start with us, and in 3 days he was in T10 armor and could also wield two T10 weapons. So the grind ain´t that bad at all.
