Even a tenth of that would really unlikely. Right now it seems like around 1500-2500 people bought the game or am I wrong? And out of those people it's highly unlikely that more than half of them will resub unless something drasticly changes. Personally I will be at funeral enjoying Earthrise death, usually I want indie devs to succeed but after waiting for this game for several years and then to get this piece of shit that is nothing what they lead us to believe the game would be makes me really disgusted. |

Well, if you look at their banner ad and homepage, you can see what their real advertising focus is. It's that woman with hilariously inappropriate armor putting her a55 in your face. A55 in face - it doesn't show a high regard for the intelligence of potential purchasers. |

Woops made a double thread sorry please delete the other one mods. :) Anyways, yeah, I agree it makes the game look horribly silly with that girl. I don't know where I heard there goal/estimate of subs was 80k but I knew I heard it in an interview, i'll try to find it. |

Take out the forced pvp, fix 95% of the technical issue and they might reach 3000 subs. |

The same game that only trickled out Concept art and screen shots for 2years.. At this point it's hard to beleive this game was anything but a quick grab for cash. ![]() Currently Playing: |

Anyway, after playing earthrise, the game was in a terrible state at beta, and that was about 3 days before launch, i dont understand why anyone wennt ahead and purchased this game still, it was far from finished in beta, i doubt it is any better now. It does actually. Forced PvP is only accepted nowadays by the majority, if there's a possibility to play it safe, like with EvE Online high-sec-space. Back then in AO it wasn't a problem, but it's today. And those who want to play an online PvP-FPS in such a way simply play Unreal Tournament or Quake etc, where there's no leveling or whatever... |

Don't take out open pvp just make huge penalties for pk's so there are less of them. |

Originally posted by nmalthus You mean like the ultra succesfull games such as AoC, WAR, Fallen Earth, Vanguard etc etc... Oh you are right they all saw highish subs for about 1-2 months....
Wether PvP optional or not isn't what makes or breaks the game son.... The Goals and Meaning associated with it affects the game much more. |
