If you are saying that the trend for horrible games is to offer free time then yes, I agree with you.

I know WoW gave away lots of free time after launch because of the server issues. LotrO (EU) did aswell and Im sure there are many more.

So its not like FF14 was the first, but probably the frist to do it for several months.

Indeed i was going to say this. I was there for the EU launch of WoW and for the first month or two I was getting quite alot of free days here and there for random downtimes. Issues come hand in hand with MMO launches, it's just how it is. I swear people will bitch about anything, especially on here - Masthead are actively communicating with their customers, and are generally responding pretty quickly to tickets submitted.

True dat.

You say ppl don't trust indy, but sometimes indy's a lot better, because the company actually cares about keeping their customers. Blizzard for example, are at a point right now when they don't give a flying f***k about their subscirbers' opinion. Go ahead and bash WoW on their official forums and you either get banned or your topic gets locked without any response from the devs. Coming from a WoW player, it's been 2 months since the lounch of Cata and still you can find bugs everywhere. And that's a tripple A game.

Smart move, at least that will keep more players around, at least the ones that subed and it shows as a act of good faith to the people outside keeping and eye on things.

Better than MO, slightly worse than DFO, but not by much.

Back on topic, I've been critical of the state the game launched in and asked why the devs couldn't put the launch back a month to sort these issues out. Looks like they've done just that, in a round about way ;) It is good that they are acknowledging there is a problem, and good that they are taking the steps necessary to fix it. Good stuff Masthead.

Do they honestly think that there is ANYTHING they can do to make the ravenous hordes shut up? Maybe go bankrupt. I bet that's the way that will have us free from anti-ER whining after about 6 months or so, after the victory yells subside.

Honestly, what do they expect...

I am not. This shows that they regocnize the  condition of there game and are willing take a hit until its where it needs to be. This one gesture has won them another account. I will be purchasing in the next few days.

Thank you Masterhead. Another pioneer is about to start the journey.

Yup, company is doing their best to "right the wrong". I would recommend buying in a day or two but before the 11th of Feb, since those that activate before then get the free time in March. Personally, I am locked out of the game due to some glitch.

Sweet, ty.  And we got a few new hair colors today, and I read that banks are in game now, too.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

I would recommend wait 6 months, not a day or two. The game isnt really that playable right now. If you can login at all, Which i sure as hell cant atm.

Nothing wrong with giving away a free month, everyone does it. You buy WoW, you get one free month, you buy Aion, you get one free month. And so on..

I am not sure yet if they will be giving 1 month. There was no specific time announced. But yeah, that gives me a lot of confidence in the Earthrise dev team.

I never trusted my English, but is it only me or it actualy doesn't say you will recieve an extra month of free game time ? Just saying...

I might actually give it a go, but from what I have read EU players get around 400 ping, which for me is just unplayable. For an East Cost server people from West Europe should get anywhere between 100 to 200 ping ( closer to 150 ) not more.

You buy the game by Feb 11th and receive free game time for March :) ATM latency and fps issues do indeed exist, but everything should be fixed in a few weeks, so it should be fine.

It must be one savage piece of fucking shit if they're giving away a free month right after release.

I think Earthrise is a tax on the MMOer's without common sense.

the /trace command isnt real ping its a dev tool and the game is design to play fine at 300 ping
