That says a lot about the company. Kudos. "I am not in a server with Gankers...THEY ARE IN A SERVER WITH ME!!!" |

Wow, the launch must be even worse that I thought... No offense, but if you haven't hit 50 by now, you kinda are less of a player - Cthulhu23 The very idea that SV is in financial trouble is wrong. The numbers they release from time to time are just that, numbers. -Username509 |

it's not a sign of bad launch. it's just the FFXIV trend. one free month seems to not be enough to catch enough fish in the net so mmo's give more time for free.
not saying no to free gametime.

You do realize that the game you are saying started this trend had a horrible launch, many in that games management were fired and the CEO of the parent company made a public statement that they are sorry for the condition of the game and working hard to get it to a playable state.
If you are saying that the trend for horrible games is to offer free time then yes, I agree with you. No offense, but if you haven't hit 50 by now, you kinda are less of a player - Cthulhu23 The very idea that SV is in financial trouble is wrong. The numbers they release from time to time are just that, numbers. -Username509 |

It may be a horrible game, but it's a horrible game with 2 free months. So at least they are trying to make up for it. Does it? Of course not. Will it help to retain a few more subs? Perhaps if they make some much needed changes during that free month. Basically it's a nice gesture, but it's not going to make up for a broken game. I'm starting to lose my faith in this company. They're being utterly unrealistic.
Do they honestly think that there is ANYTHING they can do to make the ravenous hordes shut up? Maybe go bankrupt. I bet that's the way that will have us free from anti-ER whining after about 6 months or so, after the victory yells subside.
Honestly, what do they expect... |

Originally posted by MadAce There will ALWAYS be people that complain. No matter how good or bad the game is people are going to complain. i myself play ER and I enjoy it. *shrug* Me personally I could care less if other people like or dislike, bash or trash the game. Cause at the end of the day its not what someone else says or thinks about a game that matters, its if I enjoy the game or not. |

Originally posted by Talonsin I know WoW gave away lots of free time after launch because of the server issues. LotrO (EU) did aswell and Im sure there are many more. So its not like FF14 was the first, but probably the frist to do it for several months. If WoW = The Beatles |

I couldn't get in on launch day due to my key codes not working, I sent a mail and they replied quickly and I sent off my old codes and went to bed. The next morning I had my new codes and was playing, fps are 30 - 80 and my ping is about 400 ms. The game has a few issues but nothing that is game breaking, the people with massive lag issues I suspect have connection/network trouble and/or old GPU drivers or just GPU over heating (sort out the drivers). That's just my opinion though, however in the end haters are just gonna hate.

Maybe MMO's should just not have forums at all. Internet anonimity always brings out the worst in people, and generally the worst people are the most vocal. "I am not in a server with Gankers...THEY ARE IN A SERVER WITH ME!!!" |

Some ppl will complain about anything... How is giving away free time untill march, which is when stuff you bitch about is all going to be fixed, possibly a bad thing? |

Originally posted by Talonsin It's not THAT bad. I would compare it to being a tad better than the SWG launch. It will get fixed, just like WoW's issues, SWG's issues, etc. Pretty good considering those are triple A games and ER is from an indy company. |
