From what I read on the official forum last week it doesn't look like there will be anything interesting to this game like player housing, better crafting and resource gathering, or anything else to do besides grind and pvp.

So is this still going to be a stripped down shooter?

If so, I won't waste my time twice.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

TBH no one really knows what the heck is going on with this game.  I think they have been developing this for like a year since it shoutdown...and rumors exist that the company that owns earthrise is just the origional development company with a different office with a new name...meaning its the same guys.

Theres been no info on the game since it went down, other that its going to be free and no more full loot.

Game would have been good as a stripped down shooter (well actually a beefed up shooter since shooters are about as shallow as they come typically) had the game actually played well.

My guess is that were getting the same exact earthrise, minus the sub and full loot, only it might play a bit better.

My worries are that the game, even if polished, was lacking severly in good combat mechanics...was hard to tell the first time around since combat was basically unplayable the whole time the game lived.  Seemed like the weapons were boring, and the actual act of killing stuff was dry and boring.

Who knows...its going to be free...but even as a free game im certainly waiting out the second round here.  Given what info we have, little is going to change.
