*Please note any and all information regarding targeting of any nature might or have changed. However I have still posted them due to the fact that some of the targeting system might still apply. The Updates to the Combat System, September 2009 is the latest information we have about the newer targeting system.(This is from a QOTW, that can also be found under the skill section. Different name though, same thing though.) PvE Crime

I only had to post because i have to give some props on a VERY large complete list .Man i could not put that kind of effort into a game i love let alone something i have never played. Anyhoot good job on giving your fellow gamers a lot of information, albeit i read a lot of the stuff and seemed to be vague answers, like the skills topic. They claim to be removing the vet, time =reward, yet unlocking abilities i am sure will be nothing different than time=reward,so it adds up to the same thing in the long run.A vet will have as they pointed out many abilities, therefor will have a huge advantage. http://www.youtube.com/user/Napolianboo#p/u/15/rCYLLQCNc1w |
Originally posted by Wizardry Yes, they might have an advantage however they have to use those skill properly. If they do not use their skill sets correctly than a noob can easily take down a vet. But isn't that how it is suppose to be? Should someone that has been playing the game for a longer time have an advantage over other players? Also you gotta remember just cause a vet has unlocked a lot of skills most/some will be unavailable to him due to the fact of what kind of gear he is using. Gear allows you to use certain skills, while locking some of the skills available to you also. Oh and one more thing. We gotta take into a account of luck. Earthrise will have a luck factor to it due to the fact the moving around adds to your dodge rate. |

That's not luck, controlling your movements during combat to optimize your chance to hit and dodge will be skill. And Wizard, yes vets will have better gear and more abilities, but it won't be like other games where a noob has 1/100th the health of a vet and can't even hit a vet player. In most games, a vet player could easily destroy the entire noob population at once, but it sounds like in ER a group of a few noobs could take down a vet if working together. |

You also do not need skill to move around, especially in a game that give you assisted targeting. I mean even the devs themselves said that luck is also involved. |

It's not entirely luck because your actions and your target's actions determine the % to hit. One specific attack might be up to luck, but over a fight, and certainly over many fights, your own skill at maximizing your hit while reducing your enemy's will prove a big difference. |

Great job Joker, the community needs more people like you. Just a note to everyone: if you cannot find what you are looking for in the QOTW, you can search http://earthrisewiki.com. And before you mention the wikia wiki, bear in mind that the wikia wiki fell out of repair and was abandoned by the admins close to a year ago, and has now fallen out of repair with most of its pages out dated. http://earthrisewiki.com is updated on a daily basis. Though it is still far from completion, but more or less ALL information existing about earthrise can be found there with a simple search....give it a shot....but don't judge the looks... |

Originally posted by RBOMB The only reason I did this was because I have been in this community for FAR too long! Sigh... It is almost my two year anniversary and I have been dedicated to a game that has a little information as Darkfall Online use to have. Kinda crazy how I have stayed in this community for this long and how little people have talked. Normally I get bored really quick of communities that are really slow like Earthrise forums are. Anyways... The Earthrise forums will be getting more active soon and I am going to get more involved with the community. Hopefully help nudge MHS to release more information on Earthrise with the support of the community. Like I did with the community interview, that should be released by the end of this month or the start of the next month. |

The ER forums are hopping Joker! ;-) Thats what happens when companies keep their lips tight. You can only play theorycraft for so long before you realize the futility of it all. "Real Alpha males play physical games that require guts, strength, determination and actual skill. The spotty, weedy, timid ones gravitate towards PvP in MMOs and live out their little fantasies. They may think they are Alpha Males, using terms like "hardcore" and constantly compare their gear as a measure of "prowess" but the rest of us know what the score really is. :D"-Dibdabs |

Is it easy to find the information you are looking for? Is the list organized well enough? Are the multiple post confusing? Should there be more categories to help find information better? Any kind of feedback is much appreciated, especially the negative feedback. I love getting negative feedback. |
