The MMO genre as a whole is a running joke considering a 5+ year old game is so dominant. |

Except for rights to the name "fallout", they might be late to that genre. Fallen Earth also plays in a post-apocalyptic world and is already playable. Cannot tell details due to NDA, but I think they got the atmosphere right |

I love Fallout 3. Hopefully they add alittle more class customization options for an mmo. Would be pretty cool to see people running around in Power Armor or Raider armor. The big question is will mutants be a playable race, doubt it but who knows. |

one could only hope... but Fallen Earth does look very much like a Fallout MMO. |

There is about a 99% chance that V13 is Fallout Online, considering the concept art had their trademark "Nuka cola" pictured in it. I never played Fallout 1 and 2 and I really wish I had, Three made by Bethesda is a really well put together game but people tell me it is nothing like 1 and 2. If Fallout Online is made by the origional compnay it will be more like 1 and 2, what that means I personally can't say, except apparently its more "rpgish" Which I mean I love RPGs... I just really thought that 3 was very RPGish already... Perhaps someone could speculate whos played 1 and 2 and give some examples as to what we'd be in store for if they made it like those titles? I agree they may be a little late in the game to get this title out there and be successful since there are a few Sci-Fi MMO's coming out soon. Even Huxley could pose a threat to its potential player base. Anyway, anyone who played Fallout 1 and 2 care to speculate for us? |

Well... if it would be just like 1and 2 the game would be less moral for starter. In those games you could have sex... with prostitues if you wanted... you could kill children, kill your friends, sell people as slaves and so on. It was really what you made it. But then again, the regulations are stricter now and I think they may want to keep it down to about the level in Fallout 3. There were even missions to massacre whole towns. Another thing would be that the humour would be gritter. It was much darker than in Fallout 3... it was also less "nice". There were sexual jokes, violent jokes and situations that would be appauling in real life but really funny in the game. The game would also be more about how things are being built than destroyed. Fallout 3 was mostly a destroyed wasteland, while 1 and 2 consisted more of towns and small villages being rebuilt near some pre-war site. Finally, I think you could play both as mutants and ghouls. There's been ghoul cities in all games and at least one in Fallout 2 (don't remember about 1 though). There were mutants that weren't as beastial as the ones in Fallout 3, and actually quite civil. |
