Love everything about it. However, I refuse to play until they fix the potion-hotkey bug. Few months ago Nexon released an article saying they were going to excel in customer service and be all great, then potion-hotkey bug came and they never fixed it. Like seriously? take 5 minutes out of your day and fix your game.

Released in Europe but does not work at all. Downtimes, problems creating characters and firewall problems makes this a true joke. If it was fixed after 1-2 hours it would be ok, or even a day. It has lasted for months.. 1.0 until im proven otherwise.

Horrible controls and UI and costs money to do anything. Could've been a great game.

Mabinogi is a game that's full of style and anime-based art. It's really cool whether you're a fashionista, an artist, someone who loves to socialize, a casual fighter, a grinder, or even if you're someone who likes to create things on your own, because Mabinogi has ALL of these. As for the server latency and customer support, it's something Nexon America carries with it. Mabinogi itself rocks, so if you're interested in a game where you would like to meet really awesome players, socialize, and still be able to keep the nice feel of a war cry in a game, this is the game for you(while Mabinogi has many, many modders and players who download modifications to the game in order to change their game experience, there are very few hacks that affect the server. These mods include reading a player's combat power, lower the hassle of pressing 'esc' and clicking a button to revive, and allowing the character to be facing another way when talking to an npc). It can seem really pricey, but most who's had experience in the game would say that it's completely optional whether you pay or play for free. Mabinogi's no grind-fest. The game and its players are care-free and relaxed. Do whatever you want, because the game lets you.

This is a really great sandbox game, and it has so many unique features. I highly recommend it.
The thing I see people complaining about the most is its combat system. These people have only played the game for a few minutes. In the beginner dungeons you have few skills and don't need any strategy. After that though you need to learn how to fight without hit. This isn't as hard as it sounds but the game does have a learning curve.
It DOES get really boring after a while but it's really fun before that point, anyways.
Archery is really really boring. All you do is spam click the mouse. It actually has very little strategy at all to it. So I don't advise going archery or making an elf.
As for being pay to win, like most f2p games are, the cash shop is mostly optional. Getting a pet, especially a mount, is almost necessary however. It costs like $10 for a flying mount. Besides pets you can rebirth once every week instead of the free once every 3 weeks... this means technically being able to grow 3x as fast at the price of like $8 a week. It isn't that big of a problem though since once you have your main skills maxed most of your power comes from equips.
The storyline is quite fun to play through, but they recently changed it up. Since you get so powerful that you kill a god or something like that they couldn't figure out what else to add to the story so they started adding SHAKESPEARE PLAYS instead. It's a really bizarre idea, and it was poorly executed too. But there are still so many main storyline quests besides the Shakespeare ones that it will take you forever to complete them.

I know everything about this game! (played it since beta) Literally speaking, almost everyone mods in this game. For people who do not play this game, it means that players cheat; such as Auto-clicker rez (elf vs giant pvp where it has the most advantage), Ghost lock, and cp calculator (which enables players to see how strong you are so that they can take advantage of you in pvp battles). Apparently, I also mod and do not get banned because Nexon does not care. They only care about money. As the result of this, cheaters and modders pay a lot (haha they fail for being stupid money wasters).
For graphics, it has poor graphics because the marketing scheme is to get many players with crappy graphic cards (these people know nothing about getting a better graphics card haha and they say its “lag” that’s big fail!). (For me, I am lagless unless I’m uploading. I have used TCP optimizer, no nagle (it really helps in this game; look in the nexon forums for reference or TCP optimizer’s official site), and Bigfoots network router Killer 2100 (it helps with jitter).
Gameplay: its excellent; to me it is because it takes strategy to outwit the other opponent (except when the opponent is several times stronger than you).
Well, that’s all from me! I think these things are the most important aspects in this game to be dealt with.

probably the worst "game" i've ever played, you literally cannot pass the first quest because the servers are broken and the mobs aren't spawning. might be halfway decent if anything worked its basically diablo with worse graphics as far as i can tell in the 15 minutes i've played. i would give zeroes if i could.

There's a few things I want to clear up about this game.
First off, it's no longer in Beta, it's had 10 large updates since its release.
There are no classes, but you can choose a race that specializes in magic, melee, or ranged attacks.
You can buy 100s of different types of armor and clothes in 1000s of different colors.
There is some grinding to train skills, but you can cut your training time in half with the press of a button.
The community is basicly 13-19 year olds, but you can tell who to talk to and who to avoid quickly.
Lag does exist, i'm not gonna lie.
It can even ruin a dungeon run because the enemy that was supposed to drop the key to the next room never loaded. However, this can be avoided if you don't play on a busy (crowded) game channel.
If your looking for super realistic graphics or ultra violent blood and gore, dont play this game.
It's art work is heavily influenced by japanese animation.
It is a click to move game.
THE MAIN QUEST IS FREE.
Also, you don't have to pay to rebirth anymore.
You can advance the story and keep your character growing for a total of $0.00.
I will admit though, people who spend cash will have an edge over free users.
Customer service has gotten noticeably better, though not perfect.
Check the forums first if you have a problem.
Nexon doesnt want to kill your pc.
There are a few bugs like enemies falling through walls and such, but they
dont happen all the time nor do they break the game.
There are ad bots that sell game money (SCAM!), but if you add them to your blacklist they'll disappear.
Nexon just released a european verson too.
Finally, if your having a really hard time fighting a boss or finding an npc,
check the following places: Strategy Guide, Wiki, Forums, and friends.
One of them probably has the answer.

I don't understand all the praise this game gets. Click and move right off the bat makes this a NO NO game for me. Second, the anime style is childish and annoying and early 90s. Another FTP game that shows why FTPs suck overall.
