I'm playing the mabinogi right now, but it's really good game.

People often compare with runescape because Mabinogi has skills like campfire, making clothes, fishing etc.

However, i say dun even compare to mabinogi with runescape.

First reason is with more better graphics.

 Runescape doesn't look that good, and that's the main reason people hate against it. Mabinogi has better graphics, and that's why ppl love this game.

second reason is combat system.

In Runescape, when you click a monster, you kill it, and you hope you don't die. Of course, you can do that

in Mabinogi as well, however you have the option to use skills. Skills that can give you an edge in a fight

which means is that even if u have high level, u still get to die. Mabinogi does not care that much about what level you have.

 Third reason is about the cost.

In Runescape, Members get more stuff, more areas to explore, more items, etc. They have the upper edge in game.It's a little bit better in Mabinogi, unless of course, you came from the Korean server (what, 2 hours of gameplay a day was it?but because government told mabinogi staff so that ppl can't play long and become addict to the game)

)Mabinogi's pay only features don't give that much of an edge. Rebirth cards rebirth your character so that you can get more AP. However, I heard that you can also buy it with in-game currency, so that's okay. Premium rebirth cards give you the ability to have better looks, kinda like how the cash shop does in Maple. So, the cash item does not affect the whole strength in power. Which means is that mabinogi is F2P.

Fourth reason is AI.

Monsters have complex AI, which will give players difficult time to defeat and that's what mabinogi makes fun about it.

This is mabinogi.

Obviously better interfaces and graphics with every little things.

This is runescape.

Horrible face graphics.

With picture you've seen, normal people would say mabinogi is better.Unfortunately, some runescape lovers think that runescape is much better.

Mabinogi is not meant to be a hardcore game, so it might be little bit boring for people who play World of Warcraft. But WoW is P2P and u have to buy the game but mabinogi u can download in website.

I always wondered why mabinogi is not on mmorpg.com. I guess because it's recently announced.

Closed beta ends at Feb 5th on Friday and Open beta starts some time in 2nd week or 3rd week of February.

Oh and one more thing. I'm sorry for ppl who love runescape but

I agree. I agree a lot. Mabinogi is such a great game. But while the graphics are nothing like runescape, it does have some similar features. Luckily, everyone I've met in game have been really nice, and not the jerkish people from runescape.

Mabinogi is another asian crap game, they churn these pieces of junk out at a rate of about 1 per month thinking they will reach WoW's success with their 2D graphics and they never do and never will.

Runescape is junk but a world better then this.

I guess it's always been like that. People come to a board just so they can brag about it. I suggest you play the game and decide whether you like it or not. Then accept the fact that other people might have different taste then yours.

This is what's going on in every typical MMORPG'ers head when they see this game

1st. This game is from asia! Automatic crap cause there is no good game from asia!

2nd. Since it's from asia, it must have a ridiculous grind cause every game from there does.

3rd. Anime? There are no good anime games!

4th. Anime based must also mean that it has bad graphics!

5th. Anime based must mean that the game is for 5 year olds!

6th. There must be nothing new about this game!

7th. That means that I do not have to play it in order to tell everyone in the world that this game is utter crap.

8th. I'm going to go tell all my friends ( 3 ) to hype this game really low.

well that isnt totally true. its jsut about your likes and dislikes. but i have to admit this game does kind of look good but nothing compared to dream of mirror online XD i might give this game a try after i get bored with my current game.  and lunia is an anime based game and its good!

This game is easy to get mixed up in runescape.  With the skills and all, even I couldn't tell much of a difference, but this game looks much better the runescape does.

i've played better games and but runescapes ok if :

A) your a skiller fan that can be entertained by mediocre graphics

B)if its your first mmo

but its not worth trying if you have better games
