Just another free to play asian mmorpg, my advice.....skip it. I tried it out and it's the typical bland, grinding and graphics of these type of games. Nothing addicting about this title that makes you want to keep playing it. As far as the mature blood and gore....are you joking???? there was nothing that stood out of the typical norm here.

If you are looking for a good free to play game look elsewhere this title leaves you starving for something better. Yes I know it's closed beta but this is how all the F2P games are, it's just a lure but in this game there's no bait.

Requiem's pros:

1) It's free.

It's cons:

1) It has L2 quality (almost) graphics for the characters and monsters, but the rest of the world is a rather bland mix of post-apoc/green grass/snowy.

2) The blood and gore don't impress me even a tiny bit. Quivering bits of enemy? Cool the first time you see it, boring the 1000th.

3) It has the same tired "just have fields of NPC's all mixed together for various level ranges, maybe 3 different looks." I mean, if these creatures had to eat, they'd quickly consume all plantlife on the planet, and then each other.

4) While I've not personally done it, I'm hearing complaints about totally unbalanced PvP (casters being able to run away while nuking you, etc).

5) Super poor character customization. L2 has more... which isn't saying much.
