Well its very similar to AoC in the sense that both games are amazing up until level 20 after that they quickly decline in the lack in content and quests. |

First pro, of course; It's free... (that's a given pro, really...) Seriously though... At least for me, the Pros: For me, it's also a nice change from my normal game-of-choice, EVE Online, as they are two completely different beasts.
If it were up to me, I'd say dump the different subscription levels, and make more options and items available from the Item-Mall. This way everyone is equal at the base level, but have the ability to pick and choose from the Item-Mall. Based on information from the item descriptions as well as from the forum postings, it seems that most are timed items (3 days, 7 days, 30 days, etc.) and then they vanish from inventory. Overall though, it's a really nice game. For free-to-download, and free-to-play, it really gets the job done. The only thing you're wasting, if you decide you don't like it, is the bandwidth you use to download it. :) - |

Pros:
Cons:
All in all the Cons are all mostly things in developement as the game is only 6 months from its public release in Aug. 2008. They've all ready fixed many important issues with previous lag, texts overlapping, zone textures bugging out, monster bugs, difficulty levels, buff and debuff stacking, etc. I do not beleive it is practical to expect a wonderful game to be a perfect one. Cons come with the genre of MMORPG as these types of games are always being further developed and evolved as they are played. Bottomline if you're not playing Requiem: Bloodymare then you're missing out on a game that I gaurantee will grow on you the more you play it. I play World of WarCraft and I find myself logging out of Requiem only for raids and logging back in immediately after my WoW raids end.
Play on playa's! Requiem: Bloodymare ftw. |

The 3 biggest Pros for me
Graphics- nice visuals great effects Fair price cash shop- Much better priced than 99% of F2P mmorpgs out there. Free 2 play- Meh... its a feature I guess Im a Fan of Higher quality Pay 2 play games that put everyone on an even playing field. This is still some what of a pro for me though.
The 3 biggest Cons for me
Horrible and boring Grind at higher levels almost Force you to use the cash shop making the game Free 2 play Pay 2 progress and keep your sanity. I had to quit because I was not going to remain sane grinding past 55 without the Cash shop. Almost no customization what so ever, this was a big downer for me, Character customization is a big part of what I like about mmorpgs As soon as I saw this aspect I knew this game would not be my next main mmorpg. Not much of a community Aspect or feel. I got to level 40 without anyone ever talking to me or as much as invite me to a group. It was really sad the game really felt dead and deserted. The community seems to have a thing with soloing a lot. I rather play group oriented games. Also the dumb bunny costume is just beyond corny....

If you were on Lintra I can understand why you'd feel that way about the community. Valdes and Hammerine are pretty booming. Hammerine is the PvP server for this game which is why I'm not on it. However, Hammerine houses almost as many players as Valdes has and they are more active and more dedicated. A vast majority of the high levels on Hammerine are also Premium members that raid and do Guild vs Guild weekly.
I think a big kick to the community is the fact that you can't use Region Chat unless you subscribe. This is really the only Con to Requiem that still bugs me. |

Pro's: - Great Horror idea... no Hello Kitties running around making people suicide - sorry I am totally antisweetness in games... - Nice Job ideas - even tho they aren't super unique, they are playable - Many friends moved there from Rappelz ;)
Con's: - One... HUGE one...: Requiem requires Pixel Shadder 2.0... even tho it's graphics aren't very heavy nor they need Pixel Shadder 2.0 - they don't need that to be good. Wouldn't be that bad if you wouldn't NEED Pixel Shadder 2.0 to lounch the game. Basicly all people with older, yet still very powerful graphic cards, can't play it. This is a huge Con which stopped me from playing. I'm one of the people who have 2 or 3 PCs at home, and my gaming tool isn't the most important thing to upgrade since I play for pleasure. Requirement of Pixel Shadder 2.0 (my graphic card has 1.4 or 1.6 can't remember) to lounch the game is really really really disappointing.
So before you download it and install it be sure that your graphic card has Pixel Shadder 2.0 ^.^
Oh yeah btw. if anyone actually figured out how to bypass this thing to play, feel free to send me a PM with exact instructions because i will not trash my working tool PC with a game nor i will buy new graphic card for a free to play MMO. |

It depends. If you are using an Intel based laptop under $800 there is a very high chance it uses an Intel-integrated graphics card. In which case it would not be capable of SM2.0. Pretty much anything made in the last 2 years is capable of SM2.0. Before that you have to look at what video card you are using. |
