I'm agree that Requiem is another asian grinder, but it's much faster to play than most of F2P out there, and offers many things that others don't. I've played many F2P and they all are...meh... The last F2P i played is Rohan OB for few days (many people said rohan and requiem were going to be the best F2P), and i have to say that by far i prefer requiem because...leveling is faster with less lvl cap, both have plenty of bugs atm and i don't know...but Rohan seems to be more bugged plus its asian version has been out for years. Requiem servers support more people than rohan ones, it has non instance dungeons full of ksers and it's hard to find good spots to level up and plenty of other things. The only better thing in Rohan i believe are the skills of some classes compared to requiem such as the cleric, and of course is a good game, but is not that oriented to mature people as you need plenty of time to play that game. Teleport system sucks, as there is none else than buying scrolls to different towns and walking all over the map. Rohan would be good if it released 1 or 2 years ago...as at the moment it really offers nothing else than Guild VS Guild at later levels...too much grind for just that. So from my point of view, requiem is one of the best F2P out there if not the best. People likes different games, so i advice anyone to try out a game instead of asking, because it won't make clear anything. And yeah, comparing a F2P to a P2P game makes no sense, but requiem seems to be the closest F2P to a P2P game. |

Requiem has crisp graphics, good ragdoll physics and is fun to play. However, it is a barren shell waiting to be fleshed out. IMHO, while requiem has nice graphics it is unlikely to outshine other quality (more polished) F2P games like Metin 2 or Perfect World. It's possible that Gravity masterfully takes the buggy, incomplete beta and turns it into a wonderful polished release, but it is unlikely. Game play gets boring after a couple months, primarily because the game lacks depth. While there are three races (and a 4th in the works) with a range of classes, all get the same quests, fight the same mobs and progress in a linear path. While some people will love the game because after their first character they'll know where everything is and can level future characters fast, other players will dislike the game for this very reason. I'm not trying to sway players towards or away from the game. Give it a shot and judge for yourself. |

I realize it is a beta but I thought it was painfully mediocre. I give them credit for trying to throw in "new" ideas like DNA, but it's just not very appealing to me either visually or gameplay wise. Have a winner and don't go on a game over! Actually any F2P gets bored after a couple of months, weeks or even days/hours...so if requiem can hold my attention for a couple of months having some fun...it would be really nice. Maybe i'm waiting too much but it's the only F2P i currently like since there is not anything else worth to download. I just hope they make a good release and not just a clone of the OB... |

The game global release is pretty close to it's korean counterpart (less than a year), meaning that part of the money made with the global version will go directly to further develop the game. The game has great customer support thus far, it's predictable that eventually it will be harder to get customer support if you are a free player. They are adding low level content first, why? because A LOT of people will spend a lot of time in the low levels, so they try to make their experience more enjoyable since they are MUCH more than a handful who grinded 24/7 to reach LV cap and then complain there's no end content or anyone to play with. Most "bugs" around the game, with it crashing and disconnecting, are due to hardware incompatibilies, like having little ram, several applications running on background, computers being infected by virus, trojans and spyware, not having pixel shader capable GPU or simply having a slow connection; these are what seen to keep many players from playing, not the client itself (not saying that the client is perfect, but that most of the times it's not faulty of the crashes or disconnections) |
