Like I said before, once the game goes live the asian gold farming rings will hit the game for many months with bots, gold / power leveling spam and hacking the game. The game will have very poor customer support, just like all the rest of the free to play garbage. If it makes you feel good, I have five CB beta keys that I got from a few websites... thats five wasted keys!!! Oh no! I just tore up the sheet of paper that had the last four CB keys!!! Thats four people I saved from this free to play asian item mall grinder! I feel like an epic super star hero! |

The poor or good state of a game at full release is (to some extent) the result of the good or bad work of the game testers. If they could have fully tested the game without the players' help be sure they would have done it, but since they can't, they have to go through these testing phases counting on the players' help. Now tell me, who's fault will be when the game gets released and people will discover additional bugs and glitches that were supposed to be spotted by the beta testers? 100% the devs' fault, right? Yeah, I thought so! I've seen a lot of idiots that keep shops open 24h/day, pk non stop or just afk for hours instead of actually testing the game and hunting the bugs - so maybe the company should make the beta testers list public, so when the game gets released, all the players could thank them for the "outstanding" job they did |

Every MMO, be it asian or otherwise, has gold farming. And trust me, there are some well established MMO companies (cough...cough...SOE...cough) that have crappy customer service. How are you 100% sure this game is doomed from the get-go? I bet you will be the first guy in line to write the "I told you so" thread if something changes with the game. |

DystopiaBoy, I see (judging by your sig) that you're currently playing Requiem. Can you please explain how the DNA system works? Are there certian levels to be reached before being able to use it, how much does it cost to change one component, are the changes noticeable? And also, how is the PvP in this game? Is it allowed only in certain area,s is it FFA, is there a level cap between the attacker's level ad the defender's, etc? Tnx! |

Originally posted by draguleaSorry dragulea, I started two characters, and haven't got them past level 8 yet, lol. I seen one guy in the game chat stating the DNA system hasn't been "turned on yet". I'm not sure if that's true or not, but even if it isn't I haven't got to that level yet. I haven't even figured out how do the armor "upgrading" thing yet. Hopefully I get to spend more time ingame this week and figure things out. You may want to look at the offical game forums. They have alot of stuff on there already. Or, you may want to ask one of these wonderful guys trolling this thread. They seem to be a wealth of knowledge about the game. Sorry I couldn't help. |

A, I see! Thanks anyway! I am reading the forums, but I feel that talking to players that are currently experiencing the game gets me somehow closer to the action, you know |

You can start using the DNA system after you reach level 10. A lot of DNA mods based off your skills, so you have to have the skill first before the DNA mod become available. To use the DNA, you go to a DNA vendor and buy the DNA, very expensive, so save up your money. The DNA system does work right now. I tried a skill with and without DNA mod and it make big different. Currently, no world PvP, only battleground. The system works just like WoW, you register for a battleground and go do something else. It will teleport you into the battleground when enough people signed up. Iron Mine battleground is capture the flag type. There are 2-3 battlegrounds right now. You get score after the battleground. You can use your score to buy stuffs from battleground vendor. To people who says this game has been release in Korean already. Yes, it is out in Korean, but during US beta, the developer could decide to put in or to withhold certain features. You would think it's just a straight port from one language to another but many times, it is not that simple. Trust me, I have done it before. I could just give the thumb up for this game just for the control alone. A full WASD control, which is very responsive by the way, is not something you see often in a Korean MMO. It makes PvP much more challenging and enjoyable. One word "jump" could say a lot to some people. A friend of mine won't play an MMO if he can't jump in it. Quests are few, but they might have not put all of them in yet due to translation delay. Quest scripts could take a while to translate them all. But there are quests, it's not a total grind fest. The first 10 levels are poorly done as it is, they could use some work. Oh, by the way, this game has in-door engine, building you can actually come inside, not just some blocks that you can only walk around like other Korean MMO. Even when you do have to grind, it's not that bad, really. If you compare it to some of the big AMERICAN made grind fests like Everquest, Dark age of Camelot... heheh, it's certainly not that bad. At least at low level it is. Korean standard, it's pretty mild grind. PS: Forgot that you can also duel people. |

Thanks for the info! That's what I was hoping to hear: no world pvp, but still having some honourable ways to have some fun with other players (I like wars and mutual consent fights). I like the game that allow me to train in peace without some idiot pker displaying his "idea" of fun |

Yeah, thanks Thach. You had some great tips! I agree, the WASD setup AND keybinding is a must for me since I'm a lefty. |

Guitano, you appear to be trolling, as I find zero substance in your posts. Have you even played this game, and if so, please share your character name, server and level. I don't ask this to be offensive, but like most MMO's, there is no way to judge this game based upon merit, without at least playing a character to level 12, or so. This game is very well done. WASD is fluid, with no need to point n' click. The UI can use a bit more customization, like resizing of fonts and such, but other than that, very intuitive and well done. The graphics are detailed, and very nice, at least at the 1900 x 1200 I'm running the game in. Music is very good, and combat engaging. PvP is limited to a battlegrounds type atm, but there is more in store for PvP, and some serious talk of a PvP Server at release that would open PvP up further. There is no grind, like there was in L2. Gear drops are plentiful, and make the game a lot of fun. The ability to break gear down to "Xeon", and upgrade Armor & Weapons using Xeon is nice. The entire DNA aspect of the game is novel, and intriguing, as it can open skills we don't even know about. While not a huge fan of instances, the few I've been in have been awesome. I have 3 characters that are level 11, and one that is 14, all that with just entering beta Friday night; hardly a grind. Not sure exactly what your problem is, but it's not the game, because you don't seem to know much about it. Cheers -CC |

The fact is, especcialy with downloadable games is that its verry easy to get into them regardless of what your age is. I have been a file planet member for a long time but to get the access code form them all you had to do was put in a date that made you 17+. There is no actual check. As far as more kiddies and immature people playing f2p games than p2p of course thats the case. Its not because one is any better than the other though its simply because one they can download and play for free. I think you will find though as anoying as the general channels in F2P games can be, you actually find the bigger jackoffs in P2P games. Maybe not as many, but bigger jerkoffs.
Overall requim has some potential. It has some bugs to fix, some lag to take care of and some class balancing (this is just my guess but all games have balance issues) and some things here and there and it could be one of the better f2p games available right now. Grinding from 1-10 seemed fastest to me but once I hit 10 on my 3rd toon I started doing some of the new quests that pop up and its starting to get better. |
