Getting to Know Angels Online

In this interview, MMORPG.com's Joe Iuliani asks questions of the folks over at IGG about their new MMORPG, Angels Online.

MMORPG.com:

Were you aiming for a particular target audience for Angels Online?

Angels Online:

Because of its cute cartoon style, we believe that younger players and of course girls will be instantly attracted to this game. But that is not to say that if you are not in one of these categories that you shouldn't try it, you may be pleasantly surprised!

MMORPG.com:

What level of character personalization will there be?

Angels Online:

Firstly, let me say that AO has a unique double class and skill system. Meaning that classes and skills are not automatically connected i.e. Warrior class and Sword skills. Which; makes the characters far more personal to the player. Also the player is able to change or match their class once they have started playing. So it is possible for characters from different classes to have the same skills and visa versa. There are also many more little tweeks that AO provides to further personalize your character.

MMORPG.com:

Will the casual gamer be able to stay competitive in Angels Online?

Angels Online:

Of course AO is designed to be a casual game. It's not meant to take over your life just to enhance it by providing fun, friends and frolics.

MMORPG.com:

Will there be a crafting and gathering system?

Angels Online:

Yes, there are four classes of the Production System. Players from these classes are able to ride robots, gather resources and acquire items. They will also devote themselves to the future Totem Battle.

MMORPG.com:

Will there be any larger scale "bosses" that requires coordinating with multiple players to defeat?

Angels Online:

Certainly, AO provides a series of different Bosses for players to challenge. When they come across a really strong Boss; the players will soon discover that the only way to defeat it is to team up with others from different classes. After a huge defeat like that the players will be able to collect a number of first-class items that will have been dropped by the Boss.

MMORPG.com:

Is there PVP of any sort in Angels Online?

Angels Online:

The PVP system in AO is divided into Totem Skirmish and Totem Battle. The former is preparation for the latter. Players can attack opponents from different factions at random in the Totem Skirmish. Players from the Production System can also obtain production resources in the PVP area. The Totem Battle is mainly due to the ongoing dispute with the Totems. Once a Totem has been claimed by a faction, any and all resources from that area are owned only by that faction.

MMORPG.com:

How will the Item Mall effect players?

Angels Online:

The Item Mall provides players with certain necessary items, as well as those things that they don't really need, but look pretty or shiny. It's all about the fun and having it to the max! And there's nothing a Little Angel loves more than shopping.

MMORPG.com:

How do see a free online game fairing against some of the pay per month competitors?

Angels Online:

AO is a free game, which ensures a fair game environment for all of its players. Even if the players don't buy any items in the Item Mall, they can still obtain top gear or items by defeating a strong Boss.

MMORPG.com:

Is there "faction" grinding?

Angels Online:

After graduating from the Angel Lyceum, it is time for the players to choose a faction. They will fight for this faction in the future Totem Skirmish and Totem Battle.

MMORPG.com:

What sets Angels Online apart from some of the other IGG titles?

Angels Online:

When it's compared to other MMORPG's AO is streets ahead in terms of its appeal and level of cuteness. Not to mention its unique Flexible Class System and the outstandingly Creative Robot System. So naturally in our minds there is no contest but we think you should check it out and make up your own mind.

I wish one of these fine fine pay-per-click companies would make Poodles Online.

You could have Poodles with swords.  And laser beams coming out of their eyes.  And retractable ramjet engines extending from their anoperineal so they could fly.  Wow that would be so kewl.  Almost as c00l as Angles On Lines.

"Lame" is the word I would use that MMORPG.COM took the time to interview this company.  I hope they did it tongue in cheek.

I played Angels Online for a few times.  To be honest, the Angels Online game is "NO GOOD" I'd had played ever because Angels Online is like what, teaching how to prefect life and fight monsters at same time, eh?  Sorry, I am not interesting in Angels Online anymore.
