Yes, there are dueling rings located in most towns where that everyone is free to enter. Also there's pvp zones with FFA PvP, the whole content amethera is FFA PvP zone. There's a oil rig in the middle of one pvp zone where ppl come to collect oil ( free $$ ) wich is usually filled with pvpers, guilds and partys usually team up and closes the rig so they can keep the oil from themselves :) and some ppl even close it by themselves if they're strong enough :D
Edit: one of the pvp zones have player-looting which allows you to loot their newly mined resources and loot, some poeple have been extremely unlucky and lost hundreds of $$ in that zone, though it rarely happens since whenever someone loots something good they usually get out of there quick as hell ^^ There are also many player held pvp events with BIG TRESURE, like the MMOWC. and ofcourse, these events usually have an entry fee. |

The only problem I see though, is the incentive to spend real world cash to excel at this game is strong, and it definitely helps those who do. You don't have to, many players dont, but you will run into those who do and you may feel inferior to them for it.

He he, pvp in rpg.. I prefer games like UT where only man and his skills matter lol. Yes ther is pvp, and tho the game mechanics is not the best possible for heated arguments with guns, it can lead to interesting confrontations in far away places. I personally have no chance (read: money) to purchase good enough pvp gear, so my fate in pvp would be: "ah, I see a dot on radar, now careful.." **BLAMM** plasma-rifle hits me double the range I'm capable of and tears away 2 x my health |
