The Planeshift team has posted a preview of the magic shop on the official website. There's also a quick discussion of the magic system:

The 3d team is working hard to add more content for next release and here you can find the preview of the Magic Shop modeled by Niklas "Niber" BergstrÃ¶m. The shop will be an expensive place to buy quality equipment.

Thanks to the power of the Crystal, magic is easily found in Yliakum in form of glyphs. Another matter is mastering this art, complex and dangerous. Arcane lore is divided in six Ways of magic: Crystal, Dark, Blue, Azure, Red and Brown.
