The character customization is amazing, and I can't think of any other games which allow you to modify your appearance, and your abilities like that. The role-playing on the game suffers from a hideous fixation on ERP, which will be evident to RPers and non-RPers the first time you enter "Pocket D". Wed May 19 2010 10:17AM

Issue 15 just came out recently and issue 16 is in beta testing. In general, the gaming community is very friendly and helpful. It's hard to vote on the RP as it isn't clear that this is related to. There is as much RP as any first platform games, but it is hit or miss to run into players that do RP'ing. Due to the speed of an MMORPG there isn't always enough time for RP during combat situations. If you haven't tried City of Heroes, there is a link at the website for a free trial. Check it out. It's a great game that has kept my interest for over 5 years of play. And for those of you that would like to write your own adventures for others to play the new architect feature allows you to do just that. It's a simple to use interface, and you can create your own enemies to fight using the creature creator. I think it's great fun. Sat Aug 15 2009 4:44AM
Draco91 writes: Overall good game. Awesome customization. Maybe only a few "classes", but the variety of powers you can choose within the classes gives you huge amounts of play style and group role options. Costume customization is great too. My biggest complaint about the game is that every area seems to look exactly the same... and many of the quests send you to instances that are all either sewers with the exact same layout as the rest of the sewers... or warehouses which have maybe 2 or 3 different layouts, but all look exactly the same. This lowered the fun value a few ticks for me. On the upside, there seems to be more grouping in this game than many others on the market at the moment, even though it is possible to solo.
