  • Dual Pistols Open Beta Begins!

    An Open Beta test of the Dual Pistols power set, which is part of the upcoming Going Rogue expansion, is now live on the Training Room. The open beta offers players a chance to get sneak peek of the new powerset before it becomes available to Going Rogue pre-order customers in early April.

  • Issue 17: Dark Mirror Announced, Brings Graphics Overhaul!

    NCsoft has announced today that players can look forward to Issue 17, which has been titled "Dark Mirror," this April! Most players expected to find the new graphical updates featured in Going Rogue with the release of the upcoming expansion, however, it appears that the previously announced "Ultra Mode" will make it in with Issue 17!

  • Holiday Contest Winners Announced; Free Transfers Extended

    The City of Heroes Holiday Contest, which challenged players to submit screenshots of their most cheerful costume or base, ran from December 16th, 2009 through to January 3rd, 2010. Today, Paragon Studios has finally revealed the winners and winning submissions of the contest. Paragon Studios has also announced today that free character transfers will be extended until February 28th.

  • The Deadly Apocalypse Event is Live!

    This year's City of Heroes Halloween event, "The Deadly Apocalypse" is now running on live servers. The event will take place from Tuesday, October 20th to Tuesday, November 3rd, and will see heroes and villains alike stand up against a horde of zombies, werewolves, Jack-o-Lanterns, Shivans, Eidolons, and some mysterious new monstrosities that players will have to see for themselves.

    Paragon Studios will be launching a Reactivation & Double XP Weekend for City of Heroes beginning Thursday, October 8th, and running through to Sunday, October 11th. So, if you've got an account in good standing, you'll be able to login and play free of charge starting on the 8th and you'll receive double the experience to boot.
