Normally I'm an immersion poo-pooer, but...

Ever notice how the mobs fail to react? In the real world, if there's a major fistfight going on 20-50 feet behind you, you'd turn around and look, right? Or if you hear an explosion? Or if an energy beam goes past you?

While I generally don't mind this (and use it to my advantage whenever possible), I wouldn't mind a little more realism. If I'm in someone's LoS and he sees me whupping up on his friend, then he should come running. or start blasting me or whatever his power is. Granted, this could make missions much more difficult, so I propose this solution:

Bigger maps! And better utilization of space. In office buildings, use more of the offices and conference rooms. Maybe make a few halls of offices with "locked" doors and plant keys on various baddies (can't just bust them down in case you hurt the hostage in side). Make the sewer maps larger and more complex, perhaps more grid-like, providing more lurking spots.

just a thought...

Office maps

Thinking about how worn out and damaged some offices look like, the elevators always seem to work.

I just can't see that for office buildings in Hollows or Boomtown.

Instead I'd like to see is a multi-level map with huge staircase shafts and the hole in the center, the elevators being out of order for a change.

Also have a huge parking deck in the basement with cars that grant cover etc (the Council map towards the end of the Invention tutorial is a good example)

Just got inspired by themilton here

What would be awesome was if the mission maps (indoors anyways) got damaged as you fought the enemies inside.  Holes in walls, desks and barrels geting tossed aside (ooh maybe you can picke those things up and throw em)  I just wish the environment was a little more interactive.

Because this is the one and only game which has this issue. Mobs just standing around waiting to get beat on..........

wjr - are you being sarcastic? I really can't tell - have a very poor sense of it.
