Your stars mean nothing to me.

Dunno. What is it about CO that didn't work for you?

I've been playing CoH/CoV for years. I haven't heard anything about Champions that has made me want to jump ship, so anything I can give you by way of comparison will be based on what I've read about CO only.

Combat in CoH might be a little slower, but there is a lot more in the way of content. What else would you like to know?

CO didn't work out for me because to me it seem pretty easy, and teaming was very quick, for example i would team up with people for a kill or a quest they also need to finish. But right after they finish they would leave right away, to me i would want to team up for a long time and not just for 5 mins. CO felt like a console game to me and i don't like console games :P. So my question is do you team up a lot in CoX?

CoX is all team based mainly, it is mission based or AE ( i hated AE) which is player generated mission, but most people just put a bunch of hard lvl mobs in there and teams would go in there and you get lvl 20 in 15mins, top lvl in maybe 8hrs. ...I didnt buy CO because it was the single most solo based game i ever wittness...get CoX if you like to play with other players in your MMO.

From the sounds of it, I agree that CoX might be right up your alley.  Personally, after playing CO closed and open beta, I much prefer good ol' CoX (which, actually, i was in the beta of way back when).

I let my CoX sub lapse, but it had nothing to do with how I felt about the game.  I would return in a heartbeat if I had the time for everything (and I will sometime soon).

CoX is an amazing game imho.  If you enjoy teaming, you will no doubt find a regular team in that game (if that's your bag).

As far as Server choice, I really don't think it matters.  During my last stint, I was playing Liberty for CoV and Champion for CoH and both in-server communities rocked.  But seriously, I have never been on a server I didn't like.

When you log in the servers are sorted by traffic, only the top one being the last server you were on regardless of its traffic.  If you're really into teaming I imagine you'll want one of the higher trafficked servers during your game-time window.  Also, high traffice does not equal 'lag', so don't worry about that.  They are incredibly stable.

Anyway, I hope something in this post helped you out.  I mainly piped in because I miss the game.  CO was definately some time I will never get back.  But that's the risk we take in this world. :)

PS - It's also worth noting, for anyone else that browses this thread that may pefer solo play, that CoX is extremely well designed to be a solo type game as well.  It's actually pretty amazing how they have accomplished both ends of the spectrum.

I didn't want my post to sound like Grouping/Teaming was the only option for CoX.  Quite the contrary.

Best server, at least to me, is Virtue. It's a great server with Role players and non role players who get along great. That is the server I recommend.

virtue is good the unofical rp server .i play it an protector.both seems at peek hours i get invites to teams fairly regular.tho protector has a lower pop over all id say its still a fun server .

check the server forums on the ofical site.find the chat channels that would suit your play style .that makes a big difrence in the game as well.as chat channels become guilds unto them selves.

im on the justice server and at times can seem dead but at other times getting a team can be easy i like the sidekick system that keeps all members of the team on equal footing so noone is getting shafted for being lower lvl in fact many high lvl teams invite me to join regularly
