I started playing CoH back in 06 and quit playing after 6 months, too much repetative content, a lot of major bugs and very little in game items to work with. Recently I've been reading up about what they have been doing in CoH and am very interested in trying it out for a month. If anyone has an extra free month kicking around, would appreciate the nudge back into the game. Send me a PM, thank you.

     Don't let it scare you, I am playing just fine and haven't noticed anything bad.  Still getting plenty of invites to groups etc.  I'm turning down more offers to group for regular missions than accepting lol

 What server are you on? Want a duo partner? I am thinking of starting up the trial. Probably role a dps/support character, any suggestions? Its been a couple years since I played.

I have a bunch of low characters I'm messing with but most of my time is spent on Freedom with a character called kickspin.  He's a lvl 15 radiation/mental blaster and I'm having a lot of fun playing this time around.  The I16 changes are fantastic and the color customisation is just how I'd imagined it would be.  Group fights are a lot more interesting when you can actually tell who is doing what.  Especially the hold powers that envelope the enemies in each others own custom colors... so long story short this game has been drastically improved since the last time I played a few years ago.  I will definitely say it's worth the 15 bux a month which is much more than I can say for the craptastic games comming down the pipeline lately 8 )

AE isnt dead but its not the end all or be all of the game any way.i16 made it much harder to farm in them an realy for normal play doesnt affect it at all.the new side kicking exmplar system takes bit to get used to but it makes filliong out groups easy enuff as the whole team is set off the leaders level including misisons.

1st day i came back was in a vilian hammy raid. just did eden task force .protecors not highest popluation but theirs groups. virtue tho is hoping .usualy get more invites than i want their.more of a rp server tho .

Im curious, how did i16 make AE harder to farm?   Cant a person just set the group size to 8 now, and alter the difficulty and not have to ask others to join?  Im not a farmer (or even playing the game at the moment) so would like to get the scoop.

They worked to get rid of the exploitative/abusive farming that could only happen in the AE - boss farms, etc (if your group is not set up to spawn all three basic categories of enemies, it takes a XP hit. Exception made for the "Named Boss" encounters.). It will also help prevent scenarios like the Comm officer or bubble farms.

If you run the mission like a standard dev mission (spawns the normal rankings, etc) nothing really changed, other than you can set it to spawn for more.
