They even got the same woman that did the voiceover in one of the EVE trailers to do this one and the music is a pretty obvious copy too. Darcey writes: Well hopefully the game is going to be a lot like Freelancer (Awsome game still even now) and not so much like EVE (tried twice and was not impressed), even bought X3 universe to just fly about the ships with the great graphics. And hopefully a large variabnce on starting styles / ships will be available for a bit spice. Ship visual configuration rather like character creation but same state multi classes.. Saw a lot of duplication in the movie. Touch wood they will give it what it needs. Great concept, could potentially love it. (I'm more sci-fi than fantasy fan) - Freelancer - Jupiter experiment - Cant remember name old space game with awsome story line much like jupiter experiment but you could manufacture ships and coordinate them much like red alert comand and conqure but also zoom in to see them from a far as a single pixel or up close with lovley detail (and really old too) If that still worked on modern pcs and os's I would still play it. JGE Delayed Past June

NetDevil has posted an update on the status of Jumpgate Evolution, saying that while the game is nearly feature complete, it still needs a lot of work and they will miss their target for a June release.
