ZkilfinG writes: I played NC1 in beta4, my first ever MMO and it was a truly special experience. I'll never forget when I first found my way to The Wastelands, my jaw just dropped! Played for pretty much 24/7 until the game was released, then I made the decision that I had to drop it or my RL would have gone really bad. Surukei writes: I find it to be an incredibly fun game, if you can get past the initial flaws. It is very slow to start out, with not too much initial direction. Graphics are old, but not bad, just dated. Certainly playable. And the art style if very good. The whole world has an extremely grungy cyberpunk feel to it. Roleplaying is certainly possible, although the majority of the players do not roleplay (That I saw) so it may be just a bit more difficult. The community isn't HUGE but those who are there are always extremely helpful, probably more helpful than the piss-poor Customer Service Dept. Overall I found it to be a very enjoyable experience, and find myself renewing my subscription and coming back to it time and time again. Sun Apr 08 2007 1:23PM

I thought it would be cool and innovative because of the first person interface and the system of joining a faction to work for at the start of the game. But it wasn't any more fun than any other MMO. Probably less so since the controls were bad, the graphics were bad and you still had to kill rats and spiders to level up. In my opinion it would be a fantastic game if the bugs were fixed and the graphics updated. There was so much to do and so much freedom of action in the game. I did enjoy it overall except for the 'clunky' interface. Having to tab to switch between movement modes and having to use the keyboard for movement. This game could have been the next Star Wars Galaxies for me. Still looking for a replacement game for that disaster (ie. NGE) The search continues... Thu Jan 18 2007 10:09AM

Croatoan writes: If you like cyberpunk, this is the ONLY game for you. Graphics are a bit outdated, but to me it adds to the ambience. The sounds are quite nice. As far as role playing goes, it doesn't get much better. Players have to find tradeskillers to upgrade their weapons, repair their armor, even research the rare item parts necessary for the uber guns and implants. The only thing that this game lacks is decent customer support. PS. If you're going to give it a try, I highly recommend joining an established clan once you get in game.
