I found the link to the Neocron 2 website on the top banner. I wanted to try the free 10 day trial. Here's my story so far.

I downloaded it from one of the mirrors on the website. That's well over a gig. After finishing, i run the setup program to find that the files are corrupted..... great...

So i tried instead to get it straight from file planet, i dont mind waiting since i've never had a broken download there. Spent the time, got it again, and installed again. Again, corrupted download, but this time it's not so corrupted that i cannot install, so i ignore the corrupted file (a massive one) and hope the patcher can catch it.

Once installed, the patcher starts. Over a gig more is downloaded over a VERY LONG time. No problem, i'm used to first time patches, no big deal. Problem is, this one doesn't work. It's constantly re-dowloading files that it registers as broken. Eventually it actually reports that it's done, and i click ok.

CRITICAL FAILURE or something like that comes up, and it lists a butload more files that are still corrupted.

From what i understand, this game IS final, right? it's available on store shelves? Or am i mistaken and this is still beta?

my Advise is U should play it it's the best i ever seen

It is a final product, yes and is available from stores in Europe but as far as I know hasn't been released in the U.S. However once you get a copy you have to challenge of getting the payment system to work, Click to Pay doesn't work for many people and is fairly unreliable and I think with Paybycash you have to pay for time before you get your freetime.

TBH I really wouldn't bother with all the hassle, in the old days when they used World Pay it was hassle free so worth playing even in it's buggy, badly maintained state.

To answer your first question, yes NC2 is playable. When i downloaded the client, i got it from here: http://www.dome-of-york.com/download/

NC2 is a fps mmorpg. It is a little hard to get in to but once you do, it has the most fun game play of any mmo i have played yet. Hope that helped :).

Your loss. Almost all trials make you give your CC, so you can't make trial account after trial account.
