I have never tried this game but reading over it I'm wondering why it's not a big hit. Seems interesting. Anybody can shed any light as to why it's not talked about much?

 The company is working on another MMO so they dont update enough to keep the playerbase in game. Gameplay is stellar though a bit stiff and the graphics are fairly dated. It has a MXO feel to it with the hacking portion. Also the trial system really isnt a trial when you have to enter Credit card info.. I think the international crowd keeps the game alive. ^_^

Plus after seeing the site nothing has changed they havent updated the "News" section sinse 10/30/09

thx for response ... was wondering cause game loks on paper like it has everthing any could want in a game.

They made it very difficult with the payment system...I actually gave up trying because Id have to call my bank and ask them to allow the transaction and the site also lost their security certificate on the account management screen so that not only raises a red flag but show that the developer aren't to concern about the game at the moment. I went to a walgreens and pick up a game card that allowed me access.

The games good give it a try but its suffering from the same problems mythic's games are suffering at the moment a population struggle.

Actually I think the MMO crowd needs a good Hackerish MMO at the moment..

It's a great game. It's just a niche that didn't quite hit it big.

In any case, if you manage to sign up for an acct in any way right now, it's free monthly. Why not try it out? Heh.

I also hear rumors of NC3 after Black Prophecy.

 Let fail games die don't keep them on life support.  I too was interested in this game, looking at the forums on this site give me the heads up on this company. no updates taking peoples money and then not allowing them into the game.  If you like that sort of stuff go ahead. You would think that since its called neocron2 that it was based off a successful neocron1 but its not lol, it was just a name change because of legal or changing of the company some thing like that you have to go look it up for the exact reason.

They also have it figured out how not to give trial accounts anymore, you have to go thru pay by cash and they charge you full purchase price and first month , if you try click 2 play thay are allways down, so Neocron gets paid and don't have to give free trials lol :)

and yes they have a securty certificate problem, have had for a long time !

I played back when it was just called Neocron. I enjoyed it, it's sort of a hybrid game with action elements. I had a melee character and fighting other players was extremely fast-paced with all the rushing and dodging and leaping. But ultimately the subscribers started dropping and I felt it was time when there were only 100 players on my server at prime time. I thought about coming back but those billing issues others have mentioned kept me away.

They didn't update the game BEFORE they started working on the new one.
