Trying to try the game but....

I'm downloaded/installed the game but I'm having trouble getting in. I don't want to make an account until I know everything will run smoothly so I can take full advantage of the 10 day trial. I keep getting this message when I try to launch the game from the patcher: ERROR: couldn't open: client.exe, possibly write protected patching failed. Anyone know what might be going on?

Run as administrator if you are on Vista. Also, If you have a dual core system, set the CPU Affinity to the first core as Neocron wasn't designed with dual core systems in mind. Sick of being broke in Second Life and Entropia Universe ? You could get paid in any RCE game by completing surveys and offers, click here to register.
