What is the best combination for a new Neocron player? 

I can do one of the following:

1.  Use papyal to play the 10 day trial, and then continue playing afterwords and get billed.

2.  Use paypal to purchase the "Box Version"

3.  Purchase a "Box Version" on Ebay and use the cd-key from that

I do not know which one of these ends up getting me the most playing time for the cheapest amount of money.  When I enter the cd-key from my boxed version, what happens?  Do you get 30 days free with box or what?  And is it possible to add a boxed version to a trial, for 40 days free?

I'd say option nr. 3 is the best choice.

You get 30 days free with the box, and no: you can't add playtime to a trial account if you buy a box.
