Mythos devs and Frogster are looking for as many beta testers as they can possibly muster in the just-announced Hack & Crash event. The goal is to stress the servers and see how much they can take without crashing....or crashing indeed. The event is scheduled to take place on December 28th at 11:00 CET.

Players have three specialities from which to choose: Terran, Sylvan and Etheral. Each specialty has its own particular group of items that can be created utilizing enhancement bonuses and by collecting skill points.
Reported on Nov 15, 2010Frogster has announced that a brand new achievement system has been developed for its upcoming hack and slash MMO, Mythos. Achievements are in several categories including Quests, Relics, Hunting, Crafting, or PvP. Each gives players an attribute bonus, such as stamina or movement speed. Achievements can be placed into one of six slots in the achievement system. Doing so activates the attribute bonuses which have an effect on a character's capabilities.

Reported on Sep 29, 2010Frogster has revealed the second Mythos class, the Gadgeteer. As the name implies, the Gadgeteer is a master with firearms and contraptions. Gadgeteers are masters in the creation of traps, bombs and mechanical aids. All character classes in Mythos have the ability to specialize in one of three trees. For the Gadgeteer, they are: The Marksman, a whiz with firearms; The Grenadiers, grenade tossing marksman; and The Tinker, a wunderkind with mechanical devices.

The Pyromancer can specialize in one of three trees: The ranged version called The Flamecaster; The close combat specialist, The Cinderblade; The summoner, The Coalsmasher.

Frogster also indicated that it is working on a new video to show the transformation of the game since Hanbitsoft took over development duties from Flagship Studios.

Bloodbristle Heath is the home of the goblins in an unforgiving and barren land. Two factions of goblins inhabit the area and it is the adventurer's goal to bring them to heel. Reported on Aug 10, 2010The Diablo-styled MMORPG Mythos has had a tumultuous history, first developed by the now defunct Flagship Studios (whose talent had their hand in the creation of the original Diablo, as well as the failed Hellgate: London), the project was then canceled, and subsequently revived by Korean distributor HanbitSoft in an acquisition from Flagship Studios. Mythos is also coming to the US under the banner of publisher Redbana, who recently relaunched the game's website with tons of new media.

Coinciding with today's announcement is news that the team behind Mythos has also launched an updated teaser site featuring a new teaser trailer, a calendar of upcoming announcements, and an animated book containing the game's new lore.
