Descent Expansion Announced
Perfect World International will be expanding soon. The dev team announced that "Descent" will be the next major content expansion and will feature a new zone, new skills for each of the ten classes, territory map reset, new gear and more. The PWI team has sent out a new trailer and created a new teaser site to show off even more of Descent.

The Trials Update Trailer
Perfect World International will receive its latest update scheduled to go live later tonight and bridging into Wednesday, November 2nd. Called "The Trials", the patch brings new gear, mounts, and content into the game. Oh, and be sure to check out those pandas!

A Month-Long Celebration
Perfect World International players will want to pay close attention this month as the dev team is ready to kick off a month long celebration for the game's third anniversary.

City Siege Event Goes Live
Perfect World International players will want to check into the game during scheduled live events throughout this week. The City Siege Event is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening when the Sentinels appear in each of the alliance races' cities. The event features six phases with different mobs of monsters invading the cities that players are charged with killing.

Aeria Games to Publish PWI in Spanish
Aeria Games, noted free-to-play publisher, has inked an agreement with Perfect World Entertainment to bring Perfect World International to the world in Spanish, with Closed Beta of the Spanish version of the game expected to begin "very soon".

Territory War Rewards Rewind
In the latest Perfect World International blog here at MMORPG.com, devs have admitted that recent changes to the territory war system where rewards for participation were dramatically reduced was a bad decision. As a result, the reward system will revert to original levels as of February 16th. Also, the TW map will be reset during the Genesis expansion server downtime on March 1st.

Genesis Expansion Dated
Perfect World International will see the release of the Genesis expansion on March 2, 2011. Genesis is the fourth expansion to the game originally released in 2008. Among other things, Genesis will see the complete destruction of Perfect World and the new Earthguard race will make its debut.

F2P Player Hits Level Cap
Perfect World International seen its first free to play gamer hit the level cap who did not spend a dime on the game from start to finish. While no information was released about how long it took for this player to reach level 105, developers champion the fact that it is possible to accomplish without spending any real-world cash.

Expansion Announced
Perfect World has announced that its flagship title, Perfect World International, will be expanding soon. Called 'Genesis', the expansion will bring new features and content including the introduction of the Earthguard race, two new classes with over 24 new skills, four new lands and customizable guild bases.

Celebrate Two Years With New Gear
Perfect World International is celebrating its second anniversary and players have the opportunity to score some special gear. The new anniversary wear and more will be given to players free of charge. Two year players will receive an extra set of clothing and one year players will receive an anniversary mount.
