I'm playing it and I like it. Gets boring every 30 minutes of constant ganking but it kills some time I suppose.

Yeah, I quit playing after trying out on my sister's computer (downloading WoW Trial on mine). The game's like Final Fantasy (console versions) except that it's not as fun, although you can party up with other players to increase your numbers.

How does this game compare to the other free MMORPGs? The graphics seem to be the only good point about this game.

From what I've seen my sister do, you get new armor from the enemies you kill, you can't PvP until Level 20, and in some parts of the game, you have to avoid enemy contact lest you want to start another battle.

Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago.

IMO, it is simply the best "free" MMORPG. I would recommend trying it; it is a good game, but whether you will find it interesting is entirely up to you.

Don't listen to these people who obviously have not played the game enough to know anything. PW has it's issues but it is definitely the best F2P I have come across by far and it is better than many P2P games.

It has a lot of content a seamless map with no zoning except when going into dungeons, probably the best flying in any MMO of this type.  You can fly to travel as well as fight PvE and PvP.

There are PvP and PvE servers. If you don't want to get ganked, ever, then join a PvE server.  On PvP servers you start mandatory free for all PvP at level 30, on PvE servers you can turn PvP on or off at level 30 but realistically no-one does until level 80 on those servers .   However you can Duel players on any server from level 1.

About the only game I can see that might take my interest from PW atm is AION.

Is there a way to invert the mouse or alter key bindings or anything of that nature?

"Gamers will no longer buy the argument that every MMO requires a subscription fee to offset server and bandwidth costs. It's not true — you know it, and they know it." —Jeff Strain, co-founder of ArenaNet, 2007

WTF? No subscription fee?

The best way to travel is by means of imagination.

No, not to my knowledge. It has a very limited customization system. You might be able to find something on their site: pwi.perfectworld.com.

Now that I think about it, that's redundant.

"There are two great powers, and they've been fighting since time began. Every advance in human life, every scrap of knowledge and wisdom and decency we have has been torn by one side from the teeth of the other. Every little increase in human freedom has been fought over ferociously between those who want us to know more and be wiser and stronger, and those who want us to obey and be humble and submit."

Yes and no.

If you go to System, then System Settings, under the Game tab there are 4 check boxes. Attacks: Zoom reverses the mouse zoom feature, and A D Keys remaps your A and D keys to turn instead of strafe. Very limited, and if you PvP, you absolutely will want your strafe as it does not put these on any of your other keys. The zoom I changed of course, but the up and down motion of your mouse does not change (invert mouse).

There is no keymapping feature that I know of.
