well i gave this game a try after doing a bet with my wife.
yes im a wow player and im quite suprize how this game actually suck me up. for now im having a good time.
so far no lag has been detected, i can run this game on max settings with ease. its quite beautiful . as for the gameplay, it holds out, kinda still not used to it due to wow. however im catching on it quick, the quests are detailed enough to read and figure out where to go and what to do. i just wish they werewell written like wotlk, but who am i to complain the damn game is ftp. as for the comunity, im gonna hold off on this one for a bit, its still a bad habbit of mines to ignore it, due to the type of guild i had in wow(a few rl friends and ended up making many inernet friends off vent) i deprived myself from the community so far which is my mistake . as for the sound. this splits into 2 for me. the music is very relaxing and quite nice to listen to, however i cannot say the same for the sound effects. Some are good dont get me wrong there, but if you are a werefox(venomancer) and aquire pets, youll realize how damn annoying the sounds they make are. especially some that are considered good pets to have. there are a few that do sound ok, but this did make me lower my sound effects vol alot so the music could muffle most of the pet noises.
ill update this more as i progress. so far im having fun, the positive overrides the neg. Watching Fanbois drop their soap in a prison full of desperate men. |

im on heavens tear, now its been a few days and i decided to try out the barbarian class. seems these guys are in high demand due to that they seem to be the only tanking class. I tanked in so many other games that it was obious I was gonna fall for this class.
so far im lvl 22 and (gasp) i am in a guild. New one tho and im the only tank they have. now the community does seem very helpful now that i have been paying more attention to it. however you do have your asshats that tend to plague the trade channel(wow sounds veeeery familiar) about every game i played have em. now the good peeps do overshine the bad. ive been helped many time, and well now more that i have passed lvl 20. which brings a sad part to the game. most guilds wont take you if lower than 30, and beginner guilds will take you around that. well i discovered the aution house and its pretty simple to use(item id or use the filter) sure beats checking every floating cat you see around
ill post more as i lvl. oh and if your looking for me my chars name is Wulph Watching Fanbois drop their soap in a prison full of desperate men. |

I absolutely love the community in PWI/Heavens Tear server. Ofc there are the asshats out there but by and large I have never enjoyed any other game community more than here. Every experience in this game, so far, has been very positive for me and help seems to always come when asked for. I'll be playing PWI for a long time to come I'm sure. The comment maxnrosy made about the sound effects of the Veno pets was dead on lol. I play a Veno and the continuous grunts, tweets and twitters from them can be quite annoying. There is one pet in particular that is guaranteed to get a few chuckles out of you and those are the cacti! Not that they are a good pet by any means, they simply sound as if they have a bad case of flatulence and really let loose when they attack. A friend had one and whenever we were together fighting mobs or bosses we both ended up laughing over the sounds. Yeah it sounds juvenile to be thinking it's humorous but it is. If ya don't think it's funny I dare ya to get a cacti as a pet and see if you can keep a straight face! Anyway, I'm glad ya like the game so far and wish all the best. The game has much to offer and should provide you with many different levels of entertainment and challenges. |

The rhinodrakes are both annoying and amusing with their continual flatulance as well. A high-pitched 'pweeet!' The two pets I've found the most fun and most amusing so far are the hare and the wolves. Both hold agro fairly well and the wolves around 20th level can have some interesting secondary skills. I tend to avoid the traditional 'tanking' pets with my venos simply because they're so annoying. The pets stand real close to your character, getting in the way constantly, and can actually make it difficult to click on the right enemy for targetting. The wolves and especially hares are small enough I don't have to worry about miss-clicking. -w |

update: So now my barbarian is lvl 38 and well im having a blast . sure i kill things slower than other classes, but well the truth is i survive longer. i am quickly grabbed here and there by other classes for my tanking ability, making quests go by faster and of course less money spent on healing pots since i get heals, or mobs die to quick to dmg me. the community is ever helpful, and very few actualy become asshats in terms of questing. many, see that if your fighting a mob they need, the quick reaction is to group up and have fun. I have played wow and this is very rare in wow. high lvls dont mind to help. since some quests they also get an exp benifit from it. they clear the area quick wich leads to quick runs. your not spending hours in instances. now the bosses still provide a challange they can kill high lvls if they are careless or go unprepared (no healer) Clerics seem to be the most social of all the classes. they dont mind buffing and all, normally i thank em and ask them if they need my help for a quest in return. as for lvling the quests ive been doing give decent exp. but now at my lvl there are less. however i am high enough to help lowbies do their 1st instance quest the fb19.. this quest will give me alot of exp for helping them. ill update more as i go thru the "grinding lvls " to see what it is really about. now as it does seem . many quests are large chains, failure to do some early ones negates quests given by that quest giver later (wizard friend of mines had to grind thru lvl 35 to 40 while i have quests at my disposal) so this is somthing you may want to keep an eye out .
