I play on heaven's tear. There's always alot of people on and they're very friendly and will help you with almost anything.

Remember to turn on best performance mode if you even go near Archosaur. You'll see why.

I've only played at Heaven's Tear so far on PWI and have met some really great people. The community is generally outstanding.

it all depends on what you want your game experience to be like. if you want intense action i'd suggest Lost City (pvp). but like I said it's all according to what your prefferences are.

Heavens Tear is the pve server. You do not have to participate in pvp or pk on this server and cannot randomly be killed by other pkers either. You can pk if you want but you control whether or not you have pk on or off. In general this server is alot more relaxed and friendly. Its usually called the carebear server along with Sanctuary by those who play on Lost City.

Sanctuary is just another pve server that was opened about a month after Heavens Tear it is just like Heavens Tear.

Lost City is the pvp server. This is for the hardcore pvp'ers and pkers. Once you hit lvl 30 you can be pked at anytime and anywhere cept for safe zones by other players. If you do not carry Guardian Angels which are a cash shop item you can loose eq, mats, and other items in your inventory when you are pked. In my own opinion the maturity lvl of LC seems to be a bit low but I think that happens with most pk/pvp heavy games. There is alot of mouth running and trash talk.

So go for whichever server fits you and your play style.

Lost City is just a joke.  Pvp in this game is all about who has the better items from the cash shop.  I love pvp, but in this game, unless you are willing to spend big bucks in the cash shop, forget it, it is for the rich.  I just gave up after reaching 45 on Lost City.  The maturity level is non existent, and there are few friendly or helpful people there. 

I started a character on Lost City since I appreciate well implemented pvp....so is there pvp on the pve servers?  How does that work, if so.

Edit: Im not suggesting the pvp is well implemented since i have not expereices, so that was just a general statement :)  I dont know if the pvp model is well implemented or not.

Pvp on Heavens Tear works just like it does on Lost City except that its optional. At lvl 30 on Lost City your name automatically goes white and you are in "pk"mode.

On Heavens Tear at lvl 30 your name stays blue unless you turn on pk. If you turn on pk then your name will turn white and you are in "pk" mode. Once you turn on pk on Heavens Tear you cannot turn it back off for a minimum of 10 hours. All the normal pk rules, areas. safe zones, etc are the same on the 2 servers.

And of course HT also has GVG TW's in which even blue names get some pvp action.

I tried Sanctuary which is pve and i was wondering what the difference is between that and HT. are the rules just slightly modified?

There is no difference between heavens tear and sanctuary. When PWI went into open beta, they only had 1 pve server, which was heavens tear, and 1 pvp server which was lost city. About a month after open beta launched, they went ahead and opened up the other pve server which was sanctuary, but everything is exactly the same as heavens tear, except that heavens tear was open a month sooner. The majority of people that are playing on sanctuary were originally from heavens tear.
