perfect world doesnt have as much grind as some others....*lloks at flyff and other cheap MMO's* yea this is a game i would recommend over just about anything(excluding LOTRO and those other awesome games) Greatest f_2_p MMO out there!

Im sorry what level are you in this game? flyff is 10000xs easier to level in the PW

Judging from the list of games you have played, you seem to enjoy grinding lol...

All MMO's are a grind, when will you realize that? Regardless of how the grind is presented, your still grinding(quests to grind, go here and kill 10, go there and bring 10 back, Grind PvP matches, Grind reputation, Grind for crafting mats, etc.

Repeatedly killing monsters to level is grinding. What way do you see to level up and get money and gear that isnt a grind? If you say quests your wrong. Quests is grinding with a purpose and back and forth travel grinding. Once you have this mindset you wont care.

So in saying that, if you take away the "Grinding "aspect of any MMO and look at all the "features" and "fun" stuff you can do in the game, PW rivals what WoW has to offer and is on par or better than EQ2.

How can you ignore what some other posters have said about the positive and fun features that are in Perfect World? You are just like everyone else it seems...bored and waiting for AoC, so of course your not gonna like anything until AoC.

I could understand your frustration if this game was old. But its new for us in the USA/English  speaking community and the servers are full of new players, which should make exploring and grinding the content out enjoyable becuase you will make friends to level up with and challenge each other.

I mean what other MMO lets you ride your land mount on top of your flying mount? None that i can think of and its damn sexy.

Oh my god, that's awesome.  Gotta be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, but it still looks awesome.

I'd gnaw my own arm off if I could see myself riding my talbuk riding my hippo in WoW.  I think I'm going to go suggest this on the WoW forums now.  I'll probably get flamed to kingdom come, but meh.

Is more how you grind... mindless grinding like pwning mobs over and over is bad for players in occidental places... why... i dont really know.. i just know...

people here like quest.. missions... objectives... inmmersion...

is like chinese dude... omg... i screw up 1000 mobs in one hour...

american dude.... awesome storyline...

I played Perfect World mostly at it's English version release..

I made it to level 80 within the first couple months and was among some of the highest levels around..

Then, the grind killed me.

At that point, all I could do to level up was fight random mobs.. And only at 10 hours straight of consistent killing would I see another level... Couldn't do it!

But I did have fun with the game on my way there.

It's not bad to try, especially because it's free.

kurush, she isn't riding a land mount on top of a flying mount... The tiger is a transformed Barbarian (or werebeast, whatever u might call it) and is similar to druids transformations spells... PWI has a feature wich enables players to carry others (only men carrying women though) in a cool, cuddly way. You can even carry someone while riding your mount, and thats what they are doing in the pic. Riding land mount on top of a flying mount would be ridiculous! xP

I'm hoping that the "real" English version which goes into beta shortly addresses the leveling issues as far as implementing more and varied quests  all the way through endgame. That will take away alot of the "grind" feel. I'm also hoping they have real native English speakers doing all of the text. The Malaysian-English version was at least understandable, but far from perfect.

Goozex.com Try it, you'll like it.

Don't have sigs with a cheerleaders butt swinging in it, or the prudes in the Age of Conan forum section of mmorpg.com will demand the mods have it removed.

Well, it's been said in interviews that they're holding the translation in high regards so hopefully that's not PR bullshit and it'll be real quality stuff. Hopefully.

I hope so, I really did enjoy PW. Looks like they've got the downloads for the client setup now, so guess I'll go beat the rush. lol

This will be my first time trying out the game but I definitely like the idea of a f2p port that doesn't contain broken English. Down with convention! And thanks for the heads up on the download availability. Snatch it while it's fresh.

This game's grind is far easier than most MMORPG. iRO has a far worse grind than this game, so I have no idea what are you talking about.  It takes more than 2 years in iRO to get 99/70 and geared, in Perfect World you can get  CAP less than 2 years and geared.  Someone mentioned they caped in Chinese version which was above level 130? In less than 2 years.

If your a MMORPG hopper than all grinding is horrible to you.
