Perfect World is a grinding game!!!! yes from level 1-30 its all quests but after level 30 the quests do not completely level you anymore and once you hit level 60 they quest just almost are not worth doing. By the time you hit level 80 you get about 1 quest per level and 3% an hour grinding. I know this because I myself have a Perfect World account and recently quit because of the grind. Now looking throught the LFgame fourms I see all these people recomending Perfect World if someone doesnt like grind.
PERFECT WORLD IS A GRIND GAME DONT LET SOMEONE TELL YOU OTHER WISE! |

I am gamer. Hear me click. |
I downloaded the game. For an asian MMO, I gotta say THANKS for providing WASD and point and click control. See, I knew it wasn't a difficult thing to do. Now if only other asian MMOs would follow the same route. However, once I went into the first city and saw the player made shops as little floating cats (I think), I left the game. I simply don't like a gaming world where each city is cluttered with player owned shops. At the very least, make them look like little stalls. Why fat looking cats that just float there? Why have them all over the place? Talk about killing immersion. It is just like any other asian F2P mmo. Go to a city and see dozens upon dozens of people sitting there "selling" items. Are these people real or bots? Why are asians so content to play along side with bots? Asians seem to be more accepting of games and fantasy unlike us here in the West. But, how come we take our fantasy more seriously than they do? They spend all this time creating these worlds and then fuck them up with such un-immersive features like: anime art style, bots, point/click movement, littering cities with player shops, and over-the-top combat animations (sorry, I don't want to feel like I'm playing Street Fighter in my MMO). |

Originally posted by MChavez I'd have to disagree with you. The shops create immesion. They create the idea of a hustle and bustle as players go from shop to shop. They also speak to a very active economy as sellers can take advantage of fluctuations in the market place so that it ends up being a very aggressive economy. that coupled with (most likely) the shouts of people selling their wares and you get... a city! |

I enjoyed the heck out of Perfect World. For people who want customization - this MMO has more customization of avatar look than I think any other game could have. I was able to make my Werefox look like a half fox/half human in the face because I could adjust the length of the face, the nose, the size of the mouth, etc. It does have some classes restricted by sex. I have not gotten to a very high level in it. I enjoyed the travel a lot! And I loved the fact that you could try to craft all crafts and not have to settle for any certain skill. |

I dont understand why this post was moved to the perfect world fourms I posted it so that people who did not play perfect world would not be mislead I did not post in the perfect world fourms and the reason can not be because it was a about perfect world because there are at least 100000 posts about WoW in the pub everyday |

Because doing quest in Perfect World is 40% of playing grinding is 30% buying, selling, talking etc. is 10% and rest 20% is running and jumping on the map |

Quests move you along quickly early on.Not sure what happens later. They need to have some territory wars for low level players IMO. |

Kill it Quick ~ Kill it Dead... |
Actually, there is alot here (other than grinding). I really know of no game that does not end up in grinding, well unless you count the free-game-emulators that allow you to get from level 1 to 20 in one kill. Those are boring. I've played virtually every MMORPG and console game, and really, they all have grinds - some where, at some point in time. Its just the nature of the game. Plus, I might not consider killing for 5 hours to get a level 'a grind'. Okay, sure - maybe more as you get higher - I am still working my way up. I like PW because it has the best of all of the games I have played - territory wars, guild against guild in them - including allies, PK'ing (level 30 and up only), safe zones, mount (flying / land), pets, and tamable pets. Well really alot. Vending - actually, vending is only a big issue in Dragon City, the other major cities really have very few vendors (if any). I go to the Elf village and 'maybe' see 3, if I go to Beast, sure I see 2-10, there are MANY cities actually - and yes, in Dragon City the major one - sure - in some regions there are alot of vendors. But compare the size of the map - and they really are taking up maybe 1% of that city. Then the Human village, well even less vendors - often I do not see any shops. I think its a cool game and even made a guild. My site of choice for more info is: 1perfectworld.com - they rock with quest information. For game play, sure its about your own preferences. When you do your first dungeon quest at level 19, and party up with level 60-80's - and see what power they have -you are hooked. I 'think' the level goes up to 120, and its always better if you are in a guild. Even if you are not, people openly advertise to help you with those dungeon quests (good experience for them). I had two bosses I had to kill - wandered around, asked higher levels if they knew where they were - and they asked 'uh... you doing this alone'? When I said 'sure' I immediately got a party invite and they helped me take on the bosses. Sure I've been PK'ed - but thats also the nature of the game. What makes it interesting is once I was attacked in mid-air - with myself and my battle pet fighting him (maneuvering is interesting) AND trying to keep the air born monsters off me too. Sadly both of us got mobbed and we BOTH got killed (by monsters) I also got PK'ed when I was underwater with my lady mermaid type battle pet and a group of HUGH sharks chased me and the pker so badly we had to join up TO kill them and get out of their alive. Its a unique game - and later we'll have the ability to buy land and build homes. I guess what get me is how beautiful it is. The visual is stunning - nice armor.. and etc.. But - not every game is for everyone. Give it a chance. sure the site is a hugh hiccup - and they REALLY need to tend to it - but all in all, good game play - very addicting (especially when you get your first aviation (flying tool/mount) quest. Deb :)
