So I decided to go ahead and try the game despite the reports of lag I've heard. I haven't played very long yet, I'm only level three, but so far I'm impressed. The game definitely has better graphics and music than any MMORPG I've played so far. The game seems to have some complexity and the world has the feeling of being big. On the down side, this game has the worst Engrish of any game I've ever played. We're talking all your base are belong to us level stuff here. Also, I'm a human but the game keeps sending me help text for werebeasts. |

So far I'm enjoying the game to a certain extent, but I'm having some problems really getting into it. I think that's strange, because it's obvious a lot of time and effort has been put into the game, and it has a lot of different things going on and a lot of complexity and nice little features. I think what may be keeping me from getting immersed in it is the horrible, horrible Engrish. It's not too bad when dealing with simple things like quests. It does take away from some of the fun of it when the quest descriptions are things like, "You are have get major leather now! Many times." But because the game does have some complexity to it, it also deals with a few more esoteric things, the explanations of which just don't come across well in the translation. Also, I think the lag takes away from some of the immersion. You hit the key to pick up items off the ground and there's a pause of a few seconds before you actually do it. The same goes for when you click on a monster... a pause of a few seconds before they're selected. And the same when you try to use a skill. It all takes away from the overall enjoyment. I think if all the translations were cleaned up and the game was on a North American server so there wouldn't be any lag, I would be able to get into it much more. |

My connection is faster than DSL, but I do experience the lag I mentioned above. Perhaps you simply don't perceive such things as lag and therefore you ignore them. Or perhaps you simply don't have such issues. Either way, that means people are having a widely varied experience based on the server and the server's location, which isn't good. While some people are always going to experience a bit more lag in a game than others, the experience needs to be pretty consistent across the board. For there to be such a wide discrepancy in experiences simply isn't good with this type of game. |

I also get the werebeast tips lol. Only thing I can think of as to why this happens is if you create a werebeast, delete him, and then remake another race with the same character name you made the werebeast. There must be a config file associated with that character name that would have to be deleted inorder to set it to re-aquire the race selection. But i haven't tested this so it could just be a bug. Honestly though if you have any MMO expierence and browse through the various NPC's noone should have any problem figuring out stuff. The english isnt bad, it just seems to be a rough translation from Chinese. They are working on formatting the text into standard english rules and grammar. |

I got the werebeast tips on the first character I ever made, which was a human, so I think it's just a bug. If you're familiar with MMORPGs you can muddle through all the different things well enough, but it's still some of the worst translations I've ever seen. For me at least, it takes away from the flow of the game a bit. I still wish they'd come out with the International server that's supposed to reduce lag for North American and Europe, but with all the business they're getting from their current servers, I doubt it's going to happen. |

I don't have any lag... Before u guys say that a game lags because of the server location please try to clean up ur pc a little and try to check which programs u run in background and also if ur network connection has any problem. After u done all these please check again the game, cause I know ppl from over the world that plays it and they don't have any lag issues. When I click something to pickup my character picks it up asap and I am from Europe. The game and server are fine, don't blame it if u have lag. |

My, aren't you the arrogant one. Woop-dee-doo, you're in Europe and it doesn't lag for you. Many (most) of the people it is lagging for aren't in Europe. Perhaps you don't know your geography, but Europe is closer to Malaysia than some other parts of the world. And you're assuming that those of us that are experiencing lag know nothing of computers or how our systems work. Go stuff yourself. Politely, of course. |

Lol yea right, I am not assuming anything but I tell u is not the server location that makes u lag 100% Oh and stop being a smartass here cause if u know where Europe countries are then u know that are far away from Malaysia too. I know a lot of players from US that have no problem with lag. So I am not gonna argue with u on this but think about it ;) Cheers! |

Kill it Quick ~ Kill it Dead... |
I know a lot of players from US that have no problem with lag. I use a laptop (windows XP) no lag - UNTIL my daughters added 3 new games to it. Time for a clean up I think. I tried this game on my Vista PC - which has a boosted video card, and it is fine. BUT I tried it on my daughters new laptop (Vista) that has almost no 'newly' installed programs over the OS and it lags like horrible when I did the FB - I mean BADLY. New also. I am not a computer person - but I guess it has alot to do with a combination of things, your computer (memory, etc) and connection speed. My little laptop - yes - I have had a small amount of lag recently but I think it is time for me to clean my computer out and defrag it.
