Jesus Christ is Lord.

I had originally wanted to make An A/D (yes, Dervish), but in order to contiunue the story line I had to pick A/Mo. I managed to work my way over to sunspear sanctuary after 18 levels worth of primary quests and island hopping. After that, I did the required quests in the command post to make the profession change appear. The profession changer told me I had to be ascended or "closer to the stars" in order to change my class. What do I do or where do I go from there? What's next? Thanks =)

MMORPGs are great to look forward to after a hard day of work, but heaven is the ultimate reward for those who live Christ-like.

There is no emotion, there is peace.

I don't know about "closer t the stars" (maybe it's a Factions thing - and I never got far in Factions), but you can Ascend in Elona (the desert in Tyria Continent from Chapter 1: Prophecies).

After you ascend, you can then change your secondary class to anything you want (by doing some quest first).

had same problem to with one of my characters. if  u have a cantha-char (assassine must be cantha character) u need to to vizunah square mission (first mission after coming to main island right side from kaineng center) and after that u get a prime-quest called "closer to the stars"

after that u can enter senjis corner (outpost) where u have the profession changer and u can change your profession there or at all other profession changers (great temple of balthazar, command post or in tyria)

hope that heps u a bit :)

You know they say that these games are stand alone products, but the reality is these games require each other to be truly effective.

I have played GW since beta and like most of that time period we all have prophecies which is the "core".

I will try to explain this the best I can as I do with all my friends who ask me which game they should get.

The answer to that question is very simple. Everyone who wants to play GW should buy Prophecies first as it is the core to the entire network of guild wars. It is the structure that all classes except 4 are based off of. These 4 being the 2 from factions and the 2 from nightfall. It is the core for all skills in the main class sets, and the basis for which you will build your characters off of. Factions and Nightfall introduced new skills/ and or items into the game but all are based on the core.

Think of it like this, GW is a human body. Prophecies would be the body "the heart of the game" and Factions is the arms, Nightfall is the Legs and Eye of the North is the Head.

Without prophecies you just have some arms, legs or a head not attached to anything. Tho these can all function on thier own, they alone are just pieces of a whole that you cannot fully appreciate unless all joined as one.

If you bought GW for the PvE MMO type game to play and solo and have fun, you need to get the games in order and play them as intended.

1. Prophecies

2. Factions

3. Nightfall

4. Eye of the North

If you bought GW for the PvP aspect then you can actually just get any of these except Eye of the North and purchase the PvP KIT package from the GW store and the CORE Skill set from the GW store and be nice and effective in combat without the need for anything else. keep in mind tho, your classes are limited to what you purchased.

If you chose nightfall, you wont be playing assassins or ritualist in pvp and vice versa for factions. if you get just prophecies you wont be playing any of the 4 new classes in pvp combat.

Hence this entire post, you want to be able to do anything at anytime. you need them ALL......
