This game is actually one of the most horid games I have ever encountered.

-- Cash Shop prives are outrageous

--They tout pets as the main thing to have and all that but drop rates for empty pet cards are abysmal at the very best. You could kill 20,000 mobs and not get anything in the form of weapons or armor LET ALONE an empty pet card.

--Their forums are ran as if it were "Auschwitz". Any mention of any other game or quite literally anything negative will result in a locked post by their SS wannabee forum mods. It is also the belief of many that when a topic of "undesirable" content appears on the forums, GM's post replies under false names as an excuse to lock the thread.

--In-game, there are still bugs and glitches that have been there since Epic2 and Epic3. Text translation errors are rampant. Rupee Sellers still are most prevalent and are everywhere spamming the local chat.

--Customer Support is rated as one of the worst in any game. That is rated by its own users.

--There have been many tests over the years as too what the in-game skill cards do. Most do nothing amazing. One in particular called a "Creature Taming Card" enhances ones ability to tame the "pets" that Rappelz claims to be the best game at. This card used too in no simple terms state that it increased the taming % chance of a pet by 3% for a +1 card.  You can combine cards of the same level at a "CHANCE" to receive a +2 card. The same for a +3 and so on. You will ultimatly FAIL more card combines than you succeed.  The developers then changes the % on a card to +2% taming chance.

**********IT HAS BEEN PROVEN MANY TIMES OVER THAT A CARD DOES NOT MATTER, IN FACT ACCORDING TO TESTS DONE BY USERS OVER HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF TAMING TESTS ON THOUSANDS OF MONSTERS... TAMING CARDS ACTUALLY **DECREASE** YOUR CHANCE AT A SUCCESSFULL TAME********

--Rappelz uses "GameGUARD". The same exact thing that Aion just DROPPED from their release because it is the uber of a fail hack detects. It installs a rootkit on your machine and will just completely mess up your system.

--They say it is open pvp. Meaning that you can attack anyone you want. What they dont say is that if you attack someone more than 1 time, they can email the gm's on the forums and say that you griefed them and you will get a ban. How is it open-world pvp if you can attack who you want...when you want? It isnt.

--It's a point and click game. Their is no free movement. That right there is behind the times and makes it more fail that it already is.

--The coding for Rappelz is so poor, it is often joked about.

I advise anyone and everyone to stay away from this steaming pile of dog mess. Save your computer the crying it would do if you installed that crap gameguard at the very least. That should be enough to make 95% of everyone stay away. For the other 5%, i warned you.

All of his comments above are false so if anyone is looking into this game ignore the special needs person

I'm actually excited for this update since it will lighten up the towns of people selling things and shove them more towards the market I'm hoping.

A lot of people say this is a horrid game and such but in reality it's one of the best games there is!

  • first of it's free: (but there are also players who say you can't advance in the game without buying CS items, totally not true! in truth, unlike other MMORPG's most of the items are permanent and you can actually buy them ingame with just the regular ingame currency) so IT IS FREE! there are just people who can afford CS items and buy them, others can't they get jealous and reflect their negativity towards other players.
  • unique pet system: (tame an assortment of pets using petcards which drops ingame.tame them yourself or have other players tame them for you)important note though, the chance to tame pets decreases with the kind of pet you are taming from basic to special rare.
  • upgradeable weapons/armor: it speaks for itself
  • varying skills: that make each character class unique on its own way.giving multiple advantages and/or disadvantages when up against monsters and/or other players. on this part, research on the class that you would want to begin with otherwise you are doomed as soon as you started. a little bit of reading here and there shouldn't hurt. this is where new players FAIL as soon as they wasted their time leveling thinking that they are doing the right thing and later on regretting their skill allocation.
  • pvp: just be careful as soon as you start hitting those 30+ levels. and like any other game that has PVP, it gets pretty annoying when there are players who just have so much time on their hands. if coming back to the same spot fails then move to a different location.

i believe the main objective of the game is for you to get those nice hard to get pets and level them up.now if you don't have the patience for that then rest (or quit) then come back. your character will still be there anyway. so don't get frustrated if you fail your first tame of that hard to get pet, relax, because like i said the focus of RAPPELZ are the pets. thinking logically, the game WILL give you a hard time to get them (so please don't complain).

on another note, there are a lot more pros and of course cons of the game but don't judge my post to what it is...

so just try it out make sure your PC can handle the game(dont complain if you can't make it to work, like i said, do some research), pick a race, pick a class. it sure is worth it. you get tired of it then quit, we all know you will be back one day(i came back, and i'm enjoying my stay!) good luck and have fun!
