Hello mmorpg.com readers. Damon Grow here CEO of SRI and Creative Director of Kaos War: Rise of the Fallen.
We hope you enjoy our tech demo. We have many new things to show you. The detail and technology of our game we wanted to nail first to show gamers all over the world. Bit worried though. A game with such great graphics and so many moving 'things' seems to be something designed for extremely high end system. No way the average gamers computer could handle such things as in the tech demo plus characters, monsters, spell effects, and other misc objects.
The graphics are beautiful and all; but really would hate to have to blow 900+ on a new graphics card/computer just to even play at mediocre settings. |

I understand your concern Dreyzzyn. We are a true next generation title with many shaders, high poly characters with insane detail. But let me just say we strive to make sure that can run on the average machine when we release. We are looking toward the future with DirectX10 and Dx10 shaders. But this shouldn't alarm you from the game. We are developing many techniques to help your machine cut though the graphics like hot knife though butter. Let me bring of our programmers come in asap and give a deeper explanation. Thank you for your feedback! Damon Grow |

Awesome Tech Demo Damon, Kaos War sounds very interesting. I've been following "Creating Kaos War" episodes and you look very exhousted in that last episode, don't over do it..get some rest

Just had to post when i watched the reality show and reading about you guys. I wish you the best of luck with the game and i really hope you'll make the giant named WoW fall right on the ground with it's face first. I have to say i've never seen a developer post on the MMORPG.com boards. If you need help with fx advertisement banners give me a shout i use Photoshop everyday. |

You guys are absolutely amazing. I think it's totall awesome that you are risking nearly everything to do something you truely love. I will be keeping close tabs for every update on your game and you all have my best wishes. I hope for nothing more than you to accomplish your ultimate goal, and you can count on selling atleast one copy of your game to me.

EVIL ncsoft, but u have my vote, u ain't a mindless monster corporation, ur mmorpg gamers like us, thats relateable. Is this gonna have online fees, i don't really care if it does but outta interest

Thanks for your post and kind words. To answer your question, we haven't decided what our subscription model will be. When we get closer to release we will announce it to everyone. We always believe there is a better way in everything so it maybe something you haven't seen before. There are many factors why companies chose a certain route and depending on the market our pricing could change drastically. But it is my sincere belief that gamers like yourself want value, the best bang for your buck and thats what we are trying to provide. If you have any suggestions please post them! Been browsing mmorpg.com for years now. That is before i bothered to register and this is the first time i actually bother to post anything here.
As to the subscription if the game turns out as good as it sounds i think every self respecting mmo player out there should be able to pay the average 13€ or dollars or whatever a month for something they like doing. I mean really it is like going to mcdonalds 2 times. Not to mention its healthier than going to mcdonalds :D But i like the idea in character development. Gonna hype it up more. Can't wait to betatest. Been looking for a new game anyways. So vanguard or WAR for now but maybe Kaos in the future. |
