    • if i remember well i played it for some hours...but it looks like a game from before 2000...back to eve-online.

    • Jumpgate rules, plain and simple. The physics engine is a little hard to get used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to do things you never dreamed of in any other space sim. Someone chasing you? thrust hard in one direction, cut your engines and turn around. You'll keep moving with your momentum, and you can shoot at them as they head for you... The player base is very friendly and helpful. There is PvP, but the universe is not nearly as dealy dangerous as it is in that other game (which shall remain nameless here, but it starts with 'E')

    • I originally joined JG because I was waiting for another game to be finished, like 9 years ago (still unfinished today) and JG became something I started to read about, participate in the beta process and continued to play up to this day. Biggest turn off are graphics, the community is the best, and I LOVE being able to control a ship and have my skill define why I live or die. JG is here to stay and I plan to be here for some time more...

    • Allthough graphically far below the current standard, there is no way around the excellent gameplay of this MMORPG. If your a fan of "Freelancer" like 1st person spacefight, this is defenately a game you should try. Very strong and helpfull community too.

    • Great game. Much better than Eve Online for space exploration. In this game piloting skill and real physics comes into play. Very fun, great community. Slipped under the radar for the last few years because 3DO died just as it was being released.

    • What can I say, I've had more fun in this game than any other. I have and do play other games but always come back to this. The relatively small community means friendships and rivalries are stronger.

    • Great game! Excellent flight physics. Cool community. Best Space-SciFi I've found.

    • An old game from the late 90s, derived from ELITE. Runs jerky in stations with newer graphics-HW, not to mention 64-bit machines. Only one windows server somewhere in Colorado, thus PvP only makes sense for players in the US or Canada. Non US players suffer a high ping. Program development, debugging and support is a one man show. However, the commuity is great! This actually kept me playing the game for a while. *** After testing some other SpaceSciFi it appears that this games is ***STILL the BEST *** sorry for shouting :-)

    • What can I say, I revisited this after a couple of years away and its even better than I remember. New patches have been released and the game will fly perfectly on anyones machine. Crank up the resolution and enjoy the perfect 'elite' experience. Why hasn't someone else done something like this yet? Awsome game benefiting from many years development, give it a try!
