Ebon, is was already stated earlier....that system does not work. It was already implemented in UO and did not work at all. Read the post above to find where it says that, and you'll see why it doesn't work. "I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breath a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to." |

Aren't there a bunch of sieges and the like in end game(wonder if you gain IP and go to jail for that, lawl)? And it seems like having a whole like 8 page section on PvP and having a whole jail and rating system for it meant it to be in the game. But apparently it's just there if you don't want to play there character for a good couple of days... with your computer running 24/7 with the character sitting in jail hoping you don't get disconnected. From what I got, PvP is in the game and I thought it was meant to be used. But apparently not. |

Well some games try to take more of the freedom but consequence approach. This one seems to be one of those....you have the freedom to kill, but if you do, than you might just get caught and wind up in jail. I like the system...I will most likely not be killing many other players, so I don't really have to worry about it, but if you love pvping, than maybe this game is just not for you. "I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breath a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to." |

Originally posted by judgebeoI did know the rules.Open PvP zones start at level 15~. I believe there siege areas at 80+ and there is no way I was grinding that high without killing noobs before hand. I was only fighting players who could fight back(I even had run from some when I was learning how to PvP in the PvP broken game). They just didn't explain, or at least I missed the part where it said "Killing one player will make your character jailed for a good 10 minutes! So if you kill a small amount of people, have fun sitting in jail for the next couple of hours!" . When I heard of the jail system, I didn't think much of it, but once you get in there and you notice you won't get out for 10 hours... hah. |

The jailing system in 2 Moons eliminates any kind of fun from world pvp. Id like to have the choice to gank members of an enemy clan without being unable to play my character for several hours. A system where lets say you have a 10% chance to drop one of your items if you pked other people, would work so much better imo. It would also give reason for other people to try to hunt you down. It works just fine in L2. And what happened to the "No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dieing, no tears for the slain". WIth that type of marketing punchline id expect them to reward me for ganking other people in game... |

Hey... um...
You only turn red if the person you are killing does not fight back. |

The jailing system is fine, punishes the gankers, not the REAL pvpers.

Well.. I was thinking about giving this game a shot until I saw this, what a stupid system.
Make it so if you're red you have a very high chance to drop gear, not making it so you have to waste a ton of in game hours. |

Well I think that it's better that you have to stay in jail..because it's more realistic. When someone murders another in real life, they go to jail...they don't just drop there items.... Thats just to sad, if what the OP says is true. I quite like this game so far, got a level 7 segnale.. it kinda reminds me abit of diablo, just with better graphics, much larger and more open universe, however it also seems much slower paced then, how I remember diablo. Now I must admit, I didnt read much about this game before I downloaded it, I thought why read, when I can try it out for free anyway ^^ All i read was: "Massive bloody battles! You against thousands! Blast monsters into chucks of writing flesh!" And: "No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying and no tears for the slain" I was like awsome! Just my kind of game =) I like all kind of pvp mostly party based pvp tho, which is why i choose a support class. I like having to fight for my life (being ganked) or forcing other players to fight for theirs (ganking them). So Im wondering, does this anti-pvp jail system apply to every maps, or are there any special open pvp maps ? |

I think there are arenas...like with seige battles later on that you can do without getting ip points, but as far as I know in just areast...all those rules apply. You can still pvp like you like too, lots of people still do it, but just be prepared for the punishments. That's what I was sorta figuring. It's like the Karma system in L2. You're only penalized if you kill someone who hasn't fought back. ie. Ganking. And, per usual, the only people really complaining about it seems to be exactly the people it was implemented to deal with - the gankers; players who only play to abuse the PvP system by going after players they know can't beat them. Legitimate PvP'ers, those who don't spend their time trying to gank other players, have nothing to worry about because it won't affect them anyway. Don't gank people who can't or won't fight back and you have nothing to worry about. It's that simple. Of course, for someone who's only interested in ganking, it sucks the fun right out of it for them - as it should.
